Possession players are uncommon, but the best teams usually have one or two--guys who can maintain the puck in the offensive zone and not only score but disrupt defenses. Doesn't have to be a Towes or Heatley. Schmaltz and Boeser were, and though he wasn't at their level, even Kristo was.

Some fans in every base seem to need their team to win in order to be happy. And when they're not happy, they look for people to blame.

Still, I like the title back in the NCHC. The undisputed conference of heavyweights.

How do we stream tonight's game?

This has been a very good FF. Mich/Denver was a great matchup, and the game exceeded expectations. Minnie was a worthy FF team, but we got the pleasure of seeing MSU kick their arse. The championship game should be excellent, and there is something to like in either outcome. Go Mavs, Ole' notwithstanding.

I think we needed serious luck to win out even with Sanderson. This team has moxy, though.

I don't know The Lord Almighty very well, but I'm a little nervous that ND might have the advantage on matters of chance, like bounces, deflections, etc.

For all practical purposes, we are working with someone else's tool now. UND hockey's rep is that it provides top notch development for the player and that it takes professional level care of the product for the team that drafted him.

Same with Michigan hockey: 6 of their 9 titles between 1948 and 1956 and one in '64. 2 Banners in the last 57 years. Mich, though, probably deserves powerhouse rating based on overall tournament performance.
