Since college hockey is such a niche sport, NIL ought to have less impact, though a larger media market like Mpls-Stp that is hockey-centric certainly should have a big advantage over UND or even DU, simply from a marketing standpoint. We all have a case of gopher hate, and for good reason, but they are dam good and deserve to be in the FF, IMO. A final four of UMinn, BU, QU, and UMich would be some great hockey, though I suppose it's unlikely they will all get through. I'd like to see the gophs and BU square off at some point.

We all believed since last spring that he would almost certainly be gone next year. Good for the program to have players signed to the big stage.

I think next year’s team, while young/new, will benefit from lower expectations. Depends on 25 and 15, of course, and a few sophs will have high expectation for themselves, but the team will feel like it’s starting new. or maybe not.
