What is the thought behind going high when the shot is from a ways out? I know butterfly goaltending gets shooters going high, but we seem to always put it up there where the goalie can glove it and prevent rebounds. I realize good goalies can control low shots too, but there have been a lot of shots on goal and no rebounds. If the boys had a better faceoff %, those stoppages might be to our advantage.

Thes guys work hard, but they have zero on-ice chemistry when they aren't on the PP.
-
Seems like our boys are skating BY pucks between the bluelines a lot, looking for breakaways and giving up possession in the process. I say seems like.

Water bottle shots are worth extra points?

Either way, I'll have my dramamine.

What? No floating tiger heads?

Hope this doesn't mean the younger players don't take school seriously, whether it's because they don't expect to be around long or because they just don't care. That said, it's not like they are on probation. -

One thing that has to work in our favor: UND hockey, through this site, has a huge pool of experts that would be of considerable consulting value to any player with NHL aspirations. We know college hockey like Bo knew football. -

Sanderson doesn’t count? Granted, with Sanderson’s frequent absence, the change in goal may be a bigger factor. -

Clowns @ Hawks -- Saturday Break Out The Brooms Edition

The forwards (and D) have been real weak covering bodies in front of the net this year and seem to have tightened that up lately. When the goalies don't gobble up pucks, that becomes even more important. -

I think these guys showed they are capable of winning the conf. tourney. That includes goaltending. Not likely, but a fighting chance. -
Re: Gaber and the setups. Hain and Blake set the table for him, but we often lament how we lack finishers. Gaber is a finisher.

And you went out there and put on a goofy helmet and rode your bicycle around the ice.

Thanks. Great to see the Ralph rocking again.

Has the game-winning goal vid been posted here?
-
Picking nits here, because Gaber obviously busts his azz out there, including on the forecheck, but one thing I noticed is that he usually skates away from his teammates when he scores, as if to separate himself from his linemates. I readily accept that I may be full of shyt once again.

They definitely lack a player leader. It may be a challenging group to lead, but either way . . . .
