The only thing I like about Gabinet is he has his guys playing hockey in the style of Dean Blais. They do it well, and nobody has solved them since January (Denver clobbered them twice). On top of all that we gave them two soft goals (their first followed a blind backhand pass behind our own net that they intercepted and scored, and the trickler that Hobie really really wants back). Most troubling for me is that we don't show signs of making the changes needed to solve UNO style. Can't tell if that's on the players or on the coaches, but I'm in the book of hoping we get sent East. Eastern hockey is much more possession based, cautious on attacking, and we've won a lot of those games this year.

We haven't adapted to how Omaha is defending it. They have three guys up high, covering the wings and center point. Daring us to play the puck down low, and we haven't forced them to defend closer to their own goal.

If St Lawrence wins, it makes #3 overall seed a better place to be.

The Pairwise Ratings have correctly predicted the tournament field for the last 20+ years. They are also committed to placing tournament hosts in their home regional. Beyond that is where uncertainty lies. Specifically, does the Committee protect the #1 ans #2 overall seeds? (The Committee Chair this year is from Vermont FWIW.) Also, and related, how far do they bend to avoid intra-conference matchups in round one?
