  1. The scary part is these people are choosing which laws to obey, and which they don't.
  2. Looked a lot like the shootout goal he did against Maine ...
  3. Two choices: 1) tickets are still available, from the X box office or Ticket#$%ster - you know the price today 2) scalp - price might be way below face (if its Tech vs. St Cloud), or above face (Minnesota vs anyone) - I've seen times when people are hanging around outside at gametime without tickets (2005 final Sioux-Gophers), so you might be left out in the cold. The other implication is that what the X has left to sell is not the best seats. You can sometimes get really GOOD seats by scalping. How lucky do you feel?
  4. Is that where we're meeting? I'm game.... where? and when?
  5. Somebody comes in with a chance to prove he's the best.... (from USCHO Statistics, goalies nationally ranked by GAA): Rk Name GP W-L-T MIN GA SV SV% GAA 4 Michael-Lee Teslak, So, MTU 20 10-7-3 1138:33 38 414 .916 2.00 6 Kellen Briggs, Sr, UMN 24 15-7-2 1398:39 49 543 .917 2.10 7 Brian Elliott, Sr, UW 33 14-16-2 1933:29 68 818 .923 2.11 8 Bobby Goepfert, Sr, SCSU 31 16-7-7 1853:51 66 862 .929 2.14 20 Philippe Lamoureux, Jr, UND 32 18-10-4 1872:18 72 761 .914 2.31
  6. Looks nice alongside our Beanpot from 2005.
  7. Thanks for posting - after playing with the scenarios, it looks like we need our ECAC buddies Dartmouth to help if we want to get a #1. Wondering if you see any "must win" games elsewhere for a #1 to work.
  8. As long as we keep playing teams from Minnesota, I like our chances. On the season: 12-0-4. If they are the State of Hockey, what does that make us? (Well I actually like our chances against teams not from Minnesota too.)
  9. Yup - sounded like a terrific game.
  10. If you don't have tickets yet, DO SO QUICKLY. Especially for Saturday night ...
  11. I think USCHO is fine. Fox Sports North, however, is another matter entirely. They are showing a recap of the Gophers' season now and I have not seen a single Sioux. Wonder why?
  12. Nearing the end of the second in CC, Tech still leads 1-0.
  13. Wisconsin is going "hey we might not have to play the play in game ..." This is SOOO FREAKY. I smell upsets.
  14. Agree that we didn't adjust - ie, "didn't take care of the ball very well". As to Jahner, she was guarded by players that were quicker and playing her hard on the perimeter. I just think that we tried to play into their strength (perimeter) vs our strength (cutters, jam it inside). Thankfully, we found the mismatches starting about 10: into the game.
  15. It looked nearly identical to the run on Lammy Friday night. Kinda amazing that two different WCHA refs both called majors.
  16. Great signs - anyone bringing to St Paul? Or do I have to make one and bring it?
  17. I didn't see Friday's game, but I did see yesterday's. I don't feel the Sioux played poorly at all, rather Regis had the 3 quickest players on the court and that showed in our turnovers. They were as active against us as I've seen anyone be in a long time. What won it for us is depth (plus their inside players couldn't stop ours). Those runs at the end of the first half and middle of the second were because Regis wore down. Heck, they switched to zone middle of the second half after playing 27+ minutes of really good man-to-man D against us; foul trouble was one reason but I thought their legs were going too. Call-outs to Sannes Guinn and Maffin, all of whom we needed to step up - and they did. I hadn't seen the Sioux since early February and they are a different team entirely right now. Fun to see.
  18. Don't look now but Eddie's getting into a bit of a groove. 6 wins in his last 7 decisions, and the save pct keeps rising.
  19. Nice work to you - I only have to travel 15 miles - you've got 2000. If there was ever a season that deserved 9 vs 10 in the play-in game, THIS is that year.
  20. Somebody check my logic here, please. Its too late and the caffeine is wearing off. I see 4 major scenarios for the Sioux next weekend: 1) If Minnesota wins and SCSU wins: --> we go in as the 3rd surviving seed and play SCSU as the "road team" --> Thursday would be Wisco vs CC/Tech. Winner gets MN Friday. 2) If MN wins and SCSU loses: --> we go in as the 2nd surviving seed and play CC or Tech, whoever wins. We get last change as the "home team". --> Thursday playin would be UMD vs Wisco, winner gets MN Friday. 3) If Minnesota loses and SCSU wins: --> we are the 2nd surviving seed and play as the "home team". We'll play either CC or Tech, whoever wins. --> Thursday playin would be UAA vs Wisco, winner gets SCSU Friday. 4) If MN loses and SCSU loses: --> we would be the 1st surviving seed and play the play-in game winner --> Thursday playin would be UMD vs UAA (9 vs 10!!!), winner gets the Sioux Friday. --> the other semi Friday would be Wisco vs. Tech/CC.
  21. Point taken. My compliments on THIS site, which is terrific. I know its a labor of love, but I also don't say thanks! often enough. THANKS. PS if ss.com ever passes the hat to cover costs, I'm in.
  22. Sorry - I knew it was all here. I lost my head. **sieves self**

  24. THIS MY DISTILLED VERSION: Interview: "What the heck is going on out there?" Hill: "It's the players fault. I'm a good coach." Interviewer: "Huh?" Hill: "We're in great shape, we have great talent, but we have no heart."
