But Doug and Frank know a LITTLE about college hockey.
-
yeah what he said

I don't claim to be an expert, but It wasn't a "road win", it was neutral ice.

MANKATO IS A TUC AGAIN!!! wooo wooooo 6-4 final over CC
-
Anderson totally buys Rhakshani's dive. Lee in the box.
-
Doug and Frank look totally depressed on the postgame.
-
Yes, because it would eliminate SCSU from playing for a title next week vs UND. They've already clinched second, so would have "nothing" to play for. ...
-
It would mean SCSU has nothing to play for next week.
-
They're singing the OLE! song in Mankato. 4-1 MSU ...
-
Duncan from The Angle! "Without geometry, life would be pointless."
-
Agree. And a few seconds later Mennino totally cross checked Duncan from behind.
-
Those DU webcast commentator guys are pretty clueless about the PWR ... "it all depends on where you are playing ..." (WTF?)
-
Duncan!!!!! my feed is slow plus I'm getting old

3rd place is there for the taking. Come on Sioux, get after it.

13: left in ST CLOUD 4-1, gopher PP coming up Goepfert looks sharp. The way to beat him is lateral puck movement - angles are great, he stands up and goes down at the right times. But he comes out a lot (too far in traffic)

Hit him again Hit him again Harder Harder.

Funny how Magness is also the "home of the Sioux!"

Fighting Sioux "Fan Plan" for Final Five Poster Scam
farce poobah replied to BismarckFan's topic in Men's Hockey
So, to summarize, someone from SS.com is going to create posters that mess up the UM-TC label and hand them out. Is that what this poster scam is about? -
Chris Porter close to becoming WCHA's all-time ironman
farce poobah replied to Sioux18's topic in Men's Hockey
This is a very, VERY underrated achievement. Not to miss a single game in a four-year career is remarkable, particularly given that Chris plays a physical style of game. Plus a really SWEET skating stride that might just get him into the show. Keep it up, Chris. We need you for another 12-14 games. -
Lead the WCHA in scoring, keep your nose clean and you have to get some consideration ...

Hey RW, I just didn't think 10-17-21 were consistently good, especially compared to how well they've played the last 6 weeks. I agree that Kaip and Fabian aren't afraid to crash the net, and that's how they got the goal (plus Bina got the puck through a lot of traffic to Johnson). They spent much of the night out there against the Raymond line, and that may be much of the explanation, as that line was clearly UMD's best.
-
Yeah, I suppose the Gophers will be the beneficiaries of the Campion Rules.

It's easier to tell in person who's not playing than on the radio or TV With the early powerplays, we were 10 minutes into the game before Zajac, Foyt and Radke got a shift. On UMD's second goal, the goal scorer looked to be Zajac's assignment. He was just a half-step slow, but that was enough for Sharp to get off the quick shot. Have to be tougher in front of our net. Genoway had a tough night, but I give him credit for battling - UMD has some big guys and he stuck his nose in there. So, will take a guess about who Hak was referring to - Zajac, Miller. I agree with earlier comments that Miller had an off night. ============================= Just to get ON a soapbox here for a second, UMD has 10 guys drafted by the NHL. Their top guys are big strong and agile. Niskanen was outstanding, he got a body on the DOT line and shut the rush down at the blue line very well (best I've seen), forcing them to dump and chase - rather than wheel and deal with the puck. UMD is in last place because of some soft goaltending, lack of team play at times, but not because of lack of talent. I would love to see them get a rip at the golden ones in the 1st round WCHA, because I think they could win. Safe to say, I think UMD might be the best 10th place team in the WCHA ever. ============================= As to tonight, I think we see some line shuffling. I think we see Porter-Watkins-Radke. We need more consistent effort from Fabian-Kaip-Kozek. I also wouldn't be surprised to see some D-pair shuffling. Maybe somebody else skates with Chorney - who had another monster game last night. And Phil will probably need to be good again. He's proving to be every bit as good as we hoped he would be down the stretch. ============================== Win tonight - and a CC loss - puts us tied for 4th, one back of DU for 3rd. Lose tonight, and a UW win, and we're sniffing their butts and in danger of falling to 7th or even 8th. Gut check time. What are we made of? What legacy do these guys want to leave?
