  1. i was really happy to see that too.
  2. Swiss Elite's (my) roster is in now...these should be all very close. everybodys roster shares a couple of players i want to thank azsioux for this...its really cool of you to do this for everyone.
  3. its hard to say that they "missed the mark" when forney has been injured and that would obviously affect your play...especially shoulder. also oshie and toews were not up to par (par for them i mean) for a number of games this season. i think if forney stays healthy we can start this discussion next year at this time. as for now this whole thing on forney is moot if you ask me. another point that happened this year was with lammy. people were saying he sucked etc. and it wasnt until we actually found out that he was still having ankle problems and it just had not been brought up to the press until around the dartmouth tourney. if you look now, people wouldnt say he sucks. obviously patience is a virtue.
  4. have you heard anything new on the travis erstad situation?? thanks
  5. hopefully UND does really crappy in the playoffs so toews stays for another year...cross your fingers!!
  6. well, maybe i shouldnt have said "like UND," but quinnipiac, bemidji, dartmouth, st. lawrence, and of course maine are definitely harder, and i believe does put UND in a different boat than du with rensselaer, colgate, air force, robert morris, mercyhurst, mass-lowell, niagra, and miami...even with miami and maybe niagra, this is for sure weaker than UND's nonconf schedule. my opinion, and also, these schedules were set up a couple years ago, when miami would not have been considered "strong." i just think that gwoz puts together about the weakest schedule he possibly can to get more W's, but to his defense, thats not too bad of an idea.
  7. nash was a 4th round, 99th pick in the last csb rankings...so probably not
  8. i like the way that hak seems to be able to peak teams so well. i also agree with DU, they are relying on dingle, and freshmen...but mostly their goaltending. also, their schedule is rediculous...try playing hard teams and making it, like UND.
  9. has anybody(like chuck schwarz perhaps) heard anything on travis erstad lately? i know he visited a while ago and he would be an 08 i believe.
  10. according to letsGoDU, after gregoire, they now have another guy that may come in for 2007. comrie, was supposed to come in there in 2004, but had a bad injury...i thought this might help UND's chances on the Nash situation, even though it looks like du will still have room for a couple more guys. http://letsgodu.blogspot.com/
  11. that would be sweet if UND could pick him up as an assistant or something...not that i want any coaches gone. im actually very impressed that the team is coming around finally. blais could be a hell of a coach after some nhl experience.
  12. did anybody make the connection between trevor lewis(LA too) and johnson? i wonder if they talked about this with each other...
  13. it goes by pairwise or if you win your conference like holy cross.
  14. it is sort of like comparing apples to oranges. hakstol came in to the program being strong, blais did not have that as much. hak has his 'patented' frozen four runs now, as did blais. i know that hak is a very good coach, but give it a couple years, then we will see how good he really is. many coaches have a down year(s). also, im not playing the youth card, but hak has had to go through more deflections than anybody in the country, if im not mistaken(on average).
  15. very classy of you, cujo2. i wish i could say the same about this crowd, myself included.
  16. finley is one of those guys like brian boyle, he wont do as much as people think because hes a 1st rounder. but when he gets to next year and the year after(he will likely be a Sr. here), he will be very good. i think its interesting that the top 4 threads are stuff about how the team, coach, or finley sucks. dont forget that wisco is a good team...i agree there are some rough spots on the team, but they have also had a difficult opening schedule. look at DU's schedule compared to UND's.
  17. i agree... even though i had to come down on the team too, to let some steam off. im expecting tonights game to be a more solid effort....hopefully they give 60mins
  18. how old is this kid? unless he would commit for 08 i would not expect hak to throw out any of the goalies.
  19. well. thats too much to read, but ill put my two cents in. i think the team is closer to being good than people think. they keep up on the inconsistancy though, which is the biggest problem i see. i was really annoyed with the defensive plays...i hate having the d men lead the rush. why? because if the puck gets turned over in the offensive zone, it leads to an odd man rush the other way! also, i dont think genoway should be seeing ice time over radke, he makes a number of big mistakes a game(not just this game either). lastly, i think lammy needs to work on his game a little too...there were two shots that he should have gotten last night. p.s. im optomistic in the team still, given haks track record
  20. where is the AZsioux thread? its just not the same.
  21. i dont think this has been posted yet, what kind of injuries is UW dealing with right now?
  22. i think that montpetit is a UW recruit. i think stepan is up for grabs though. my guess would be murray, who has like 20g-a scoring machine. good news if its true. gotta love the SSM pipeline. Edit: stepan is UW too.
