  1. i see where your coming from...i agree to an extent. somebody like mario could maybe be a first liner at n. mich. in a few years, whereas at UND he would most likely not be. however, people like bruneteau and gregoire and nash are possible 1st liners at UND eventually. i think uw has to worry plenty on that subject just as UND does...they are filling with really good recruits.
  2. if they had that record with a bigger name they would be 5th or something...its good to see them up though.
  3. i agree with the sweep, i think that maine got to the sioux and they keep improving too. also apefart (thats how its pronounced )has not been putting up as solid numbers as last year, but i think that is due to the adjustment to a new year...just like UND.
  4. you do realize that UND has already stolen trupp, lapoint, and malone from wisco...i think that UND has a very small number of guys that they put a lot of interest towards and wisco is the opposite. that being said, bruneteau and/or gregoire would be more likely to come to UND in my opinion.
  5. hak should put genoway in goal...to see if he can play all positions. come to think of it, why is genoway not in the poll. i cant be the only person who thought of this.
  6. im not sure if david toews is on the radar either
  7. it is a tough loss, but i think that they will do just fine. we have good depth at goal, and it will give the team a reason to play really hard.
  8. any reason why??? is he injured too? or is hak in the mood to let another goalie in?
  9. this is a pointless thread(so why am i typing?). the fact is that minny is deserving of that spot at this time...if they get swept this weekend, then they will move down. this is common sense. they have only lost one game...to maine! wait until teams have played more than 5 games to complain about this. after this weekend you will see more 5 spot or more shifts, because it is early.
  10. there are alot of things that could contribute to that too...like the system that they use, maybe crappy players(besides marto), how many penalties...so on and so forth.
  11. i sat in the front row of students section every night last year, and i can tell you that wisconsin was somewhat loud, minny was quite loud, but i thought that denver was the loudest by far...especially the first night, then brock trotter ripped his achilles and the crowd was more on the minny noise level. i just think du has been the bigger rival in recent years.
  12. hopefully the recruit was not watching the second period
  13. i have a friend that said he saw hak, eades, and jackson with a player in terrace dining center...he said he had red hair and was pretty tall...i asked if he was about as tall as eades, and my friend said "probably". i said it was probably riley nash...nash is like 6'1''- thats kind of tall i guess. anybody have any other input?? EDIT: btw...this was today.
  14. and of course, not everyone "dreams" of playing for the sioux...just like how UND gets recruits from the gophers like kristo.
  15. does anybody know if UND is interested in either murray or blood (and by UND, i dont mean ss.com )
  16. obviously somebody had to ask, and azsioux was SOOO antsy that he did not type it correctly.
  17. boy, i love these debates. but, back on topic...i think UND has a good chance of winning by 2 goals each night...maine just doesnt have the offense that UND has, and if UND can minimize the crappy defensive mistakes...they win.
  18. i see UND getting 3 or 4 points, maine doesnt really have a lot of fire power from what i saw last year(i didnt see this years yet) and bishop can be broken, he is still very young. i can only hope that UND plays better at home this year though.
  19. i think it would be nice to have a goaltending coach...it would help in getting some of the big goalie recruits...even though minny and mich are not better than UND with the G spot.
  20. you guys are getting WAY off base here. it never gets old reading azsioux's threads...they are so beautiful! all of your chosen colors...simply put, you inspire me to be a better person.
  21. i hope siouxhockey5 wasnt talking about UND...
  22. i agree, its always nice to see a player develop for another year...and i would like to see either nash or bruneteau(who UND is or was interested in) come here too. i also have to say that i hate when people say that almost all of the top 2007 recruits are picked...UND alone has a couple of 2007 forwards in the mix...
  23. i really would not mind having my lamp lit...are we talking about the same thing here??
  24. "the red-light district" --for how many red lights they set off(from scoring...and its also a play on words)
