  1. unfortunately your right, and some of the fundamentals...like bad line changes, which did not help parise in net either...that was a sad game
  2. you could call the line "men at work" btw, i like young guns....but it is no men at work
  3. if thats true its great news, i thought i was going to have to pull out the radio.
  4. i knew he was interested, but i dont trust the source
  5. i like that, its simple...yet powerful.....im sold, good work.
  6. western college hockey doesnt have UND listed as a finalist...im assuming that you know something i dont(but hey, who doesnt? ). UND is also interested in nash and mario lammy...im thinking mario will go whl, and that would mean we will have to wait and see on those two...
  7. who are you talking about.....oh you mean "earth, wind, and fire"...
  8. it could be the Unidentified Flying Objects...even though they have been identified
  9. the way that i see it, they are expecting lee to leave...based on the fact that they have 2 d recruits for 2007. if you disagree, let it be known. porter-hamilton foyt-marto fabian-malone toews-trupp lee-lapoint?? so, unless they think oshie is leaving(im optomistic on him refining his skills more), they are full...this of course is assuming position for position replacements. EDIT: i realized that UND has won with malone, trupp, and lapoint...against wisconsin-that says alot for UND...im also uber pumped on the malone pickup!!
  10. how about the three muskateers or threes company or my fav....The Two Dollar Pistols (because they are so hot, they are nearly on fire ) the last one is the winner...you wait and see
  11. im not sure if this name is a joke, but it sucks. if you want to name the line after a crappy musical groups, you could call them the Vanilla Icers or The New Kids On The Block(or new kids on the ICE block)...actually that new kids on the ice block is catchy...
  12. the only problem is that Q will improve too...but UND wins 8-2...toews with 2, oshie 2, kozek 1, chorney 1, genoway 1, kaip 1. and the d will make less mistakes than last night, but Q is going to come out stronger.
  13. i think that shows the depth that this team has on forward...guys like miller and martens did not even play last year and did great last night. i think that the offense made some mistakes, but the d made the most that were noticable...its going to be interesting to see if the 1st line can beat uw's d, given the skill of this line i feel that they may have been the worst, i did not like how that line was trying to be too flashy instead of moving the puck.
  14. good points, but i still feel it was a great opener...especially how much better they were than last weekend imo. but i do agree that the big test is UW next weekend
  15. i think he made some really key saves early, but Q just didnt capitalize... one thing leads to another. also...UMTC lost!! and so did DU i believe! i also have a question...what does everybody think of the season opener tonight? i think it is the best start in 2 years...they did many things well for an opener.
  16. i put kozek...he will be awesome this year...around 40pts. and bishop as well, he has an advantage with his speed. genoway was a split with bishop, but i gave bishop the benefit of the doubt. it would be interesting to redo this poll after this weekend...some opinions will change.
  17. Sioux

    Hagemo Done

i think it basically says--you were not able to play any more, because of medical reasons...usually i would assume that they would try to get him to fight it until it was the team that gave up, but i think nowadays the teams are better than that and they are doing the right thing by not making hagemo fight that any more. on a side note, i have to say what everyone else has said...this sucks! i feel really sorry for him, he was a 2nd round pick and then in one game(essentially), its all over...as far as hockey goes. good luck to him with his academics.
  18. i was wondering about him too...come to think, did he even dress at all last year??
  19. i noticed that they had lost to michigan last year twice and cornell everytime they played(im pretty sure 4times), and besides that they are winning against stereotypically "weak" teams...my thoughts are that UND will sweep, but it will be similar to how they played against the bisons...which is relying more on the individual talents that UND has...i dont think that these will be easy wins though, Q is a hard working team.
  20. hot off the press...porter C, as expected by many... but im surprised that we will have 3 A's. how often does that happen??? fabian, again expected... kaip, a little of a surprise to me(but he deserves it)...and toews!, mostly in the back of my mind as a possible asst., oh well. link.... http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=5109
  21. does anybody know if brad malone visited UND recently...i was under the impression that he was going to within the last week, but that may have been wrong. also if anybody knows any new info on riley nash...word is that he is wanted by UND (again...word). any new info would be appreciated
  22. I fear that the subject of dogs is going to be the new "phil kessel" in terms of ruining threads.
  23. yeah, its sick how they "care" about their prospects on most teams...i dont understand why they dont like giving the players free experience in the ncaa, as opposed to paying a bunch of em to stock up their farm teams...but sometimes it makes sense too...i just dont like it, as im an ncaa hockey fan.
  24. yeah, i can see putting e johnson on the honorable mentions because he has yet to be tested at this level...but toews...come on. wisco did get nice attention on the 1st team though...
  25. the outlook for the season came out today, pretty expected things were said...and i didnt look in the other topics, so i apologize if this was already posted http://www.fightingsioux.com/sports/mhocke...RELEASE_ID=5099
