im excited to see trupp come in. and as for frattin, i think he will be 08. im getting a little impatient with the nash situation though, and i wouldnt be surprised if goes the MJ route instead.

i like genoway on defense to add to offensive-defense. i think radke is good on a checking line and he will get better at forward next year, although im fairly impressed with his transition.

i am pumped. i am confident that it will be a tough weekend too. regardless of what happens, this has been fun(it will be more fun if i win though )

the advantage of nash going to cornell would be that he would likely be a big time go to guy there...like a zpar here.

that doesnt mean a whole lot for college. draft status is what the nhl teams think a player will develop into. there are a bunch of awesome college hockey players that are not drafted.

well, the other guys do score. they are just WAY overshadowed by the DOT line. but i do agree that it would be nice to see a little more out of some of the guys(in terms of goals). but the others do score more than people think.

this was what i was talking about with erstad, even though its highly unlikely, there is a possibility of going to a school and paying for it(or in erstad's case, waiting for hak to offer a scholarship). jimmy fraser almost certainly was offered a scholarship to other schools, and probably declined. he may still be on scholarship, but im trying to prove a point to a$$holes that jump on people like me for making one TINY comment, and making themselves feel good by slamming people. go ahead and slam me some more (this is directed a minority of SS members).

i said that it would be cool since UND was a close second to wisconsin. i am well aware that it is probably extremely rare, if its even happened, to turn down one powerhouse with scholarship for another without. i dont really see why that is so funny to you.

the challenge to become an nhl talent at a crap school? im just kidding, i have respect for cornell. how many academic scholarships are available to give out to hockey players at cornell?

i think UND will add some top talent for the coming years, but it would have been sweet to get erstad not on scholarship.

i dont know if he was on scholarship... im sure that porter is, and fabian?, not foyt. and obviously toews and oshie are. for next year i would assume that marto and hamilton wont be on scholarships. can anybody say how my aim is on these?

UND's chances of getting Riley Nash may be improving. according to Let's Go DU, du might be out of scholarships to offer. im not sure what the scholarship status is at UND or cornell, but i would hope that UND would have one to offer. on the other hand, i would have assumed that du could offer something...who knows

getting a parise or toews each year is rediculous. on paper uw has a better class, but that may change when they get on the ice (probably not much though). plus turris probably would be a 2 year player at the most. and nobody said that unds class was "the best in the nation." i said that it is among the best in the nation. hopefully UND will land nash and help the cause.

are you disappointed with the sioux recruits that are coming in next year? i think the sioux have one of the best classes in the country. and VV and forney should pick up nicely next year(as far as current sioux go).

well, obviously. everybody is talking about toews though, and erstad sounds like he would be a good pickup. that list you have looks about right. right now nash is probably a bigger concern to the sioux since toews would be 08. the next couple of years could be very exciting for top notch pickups for the sioux. edit: also, what kind of chance do the sioux have to get novotny? hes ssm right?

i could see the sioux getting anywhere from 0-4 pts there. du is a good team, but i hate them and i think they run on luck and very few players to hold them together. i think their scoring is vulnerable, as it is over 50% freshmen and dingle makes up a large chunk of the rest. a sweep is not out of the question for either team, but i really think that UND is a better overall team than du.

i disagree and agree. i think that duncan has the chance points wise and his personality is one of the very best in college hockey. i think he has a good chance to be a finalist, but i think the odds a bit against him to win it this year....hes only a sophmore
