  1. What college football championship uses a numerical ranking to seed postseason?
  2. Why even have a committee. If UMD would have been 15 instead or 8 I would say it's stupid to have them play UND. This is the national tournament and I want to see teams play different opposition. I dont think there is nearly enough interconfernce play to make the ratings system accurate enough to follow so blindly. The basketball tournament uses a variety of criteria and that seems to work out OK.
  3. I didn't say they would. I said what I would do based on the criteria I prioritize for fairness. That means separating conference teams and not overly relying on a single criteria (NPI) that in reality lacks the sample size to be precise to that level.
  4. No I dont think so, but in my eyes that is what would be fair. And not just nchc, Big 10 as well.
  5. Dartmouth making first trip in 46 years. I bet they show out, least by Ivy/eastern standards.
  6. Fair is in the eye of the beholder. To some fair is holding to the singular ranking (NPI). To me it's using that as a guideline but separating conference foes into different regions as best possible. Highest seeds would be closer to home if possible. I'd go with this Albany Michigan-Bentley, UMD-QU Worcester WMU-UConn, Dartmouth-Wisconsin Loveland Mich St.-Merrimack, Denver-Cornell SIoux Falls UND-Minnesota St., Providence-Penn St.
  7. No need to add Duluth to Sioux Falls regional and break bracket integrity. UND and either augie or mankato bring enough attendance wise.
  8. If all 3 bid steelers win, Mankato also moves up to a 3 seed. If that happens, I think they get sent to Sioux Falls, flipping Quinniapiac east.
  9. It would be ok of they had announced ahead of time a schedule like MLB does, but yeah this has just seemed random.
  10. The statistical analysis was jerry york eating his lunch. Only frozen four win was his very first game. Dropped 7 straight after that.
  11. Lots of ND connections as well. Got to see them win gold in Salt Lake.
  12. Feels like the carribean countries will have home advantage in Miami. Maybe after renovations Milwaukee will get a pool again. I would like to get to a WBC again.
  13. Agree would like to see pp work short a little closer in though. Been a little too cutesy on pp and 5x5
  14. What BS. Denver won the penrose in 2 of their last three ncaa title seasons and was second and won frozen faceoff for the third one. Duluth rode a clutch goaltender to back to back titles. Which you can do in a one and done.
  15. Bednar is a gamer
  16. USA bullpen has been less than stellar this tourney. In game management has been dreadful. They couldn't get Dusty Baker or some to do this.
  17. That was before the NIL and CFP. Different ballgame now. The power leagues are just at a different level now. Only way it would happen is if ESPN wants it. That's were things are.
  18. 15 maybe they stay, otherwise I think they're in Denver.
  19. Would have been fun to see if doc emrick was available.
  20. WBC starting to heat up and Team USA is loaded offensively. Should be a fun week ahead.
  21. Because the committee would love to put them there if possible for obvious reasons regardless of whether they are hosting. It's simply not a requirement. Augie moving up to a 3 seed would allow an overall #1 UND to still get the #16 seed and Augustana to still get sent to Sioux Falls.
  22. Augie can easily move up if Dartmouth or Cornell lose this weekend, which is certainly possible. Wisconsin is tough to pass since they only lose one more time.
  23. But this will never happen. If they play any G5 type school on the road it would be in a fertile recruit ground. Not Fargo
  24. Don't remember a call that wenr UNDs way all night.
