Notre Dame all the way. Hope they win it all can't in good conscience pull for SEC or Big 10.

I'd maybe agree on a ticky tack hold, but that was a blatant obvious hit on a defenseless receiver. You have to call that. There's no let them play argument to be made on that play. Officiating hasn't been very good in these playoffs. Minor league football not off to a good start. But maybe free agent period and next years salary floor help things out.

Gotta be a target on texas there. Wow, might as well not even have the rule. As bad as the obvious offensive interference call that was missed in the Penn St game. Officiating a big problem.

Texas had a very soft schedule, best win in retrospect was Michigan. Somehow the poor strength of schedule argument didn't seem to apply their like it did with Indiana or Boise.
  5. Uh, no. Cable is frequently compressed versus an OTA signal. It absolutely matters. Watching a CBS or other network broadcast over an antenna bv a cable version it's very clear, even moreso in places with ATSC 3.0 broadcasts. That's a separate issue from lower quality broadcast like Miami or CCs prior to moving to the new arena. Those will be bad no matter what.
  6. Yeaj but people are people and I wouldn't want to line up with someone who knifed me in the back. Going to an P4 school for an opportunity is one thing, going to a rival is another. It's indeed a cut throat business and I'd say enjoy Brookings unless you want to walk on. He had his chance at UND.
  7. What a ridiculous take. You also recruit from the portal. If Arch Manning said he wants to take his talents to the Frozen tundra you wouldn't say yes. If there are current options on the roster, great. But it's clear the past decade we have recruited game manager low ceiling higher floor guys at QB, rather than looking for potential and trying to develop. That gets you 7 and 5, 8 and 4 type seasons. Excited to see what a more aggressive approach might bring.
  8. College baseball is Southern and west coast dominated. Denver and KC both have MLS franchises so soccer culture is there certainly much easier to compete for a spot in college cup than college world series.
  9. Hopefully have some recruits in the house tonight
  10. How is Alabama getting home cooking calls in GF?
  11. We better get the win tonight as I see a couple of beatdowns coming in Tuscaloosa. What a magical night at the Betty. Wish I was there.
  12. Hope the collective has the wallet open to keep Treysen. If he leaves, would love to see him at UNC.
  13. Would have been cool if Sather had come out in a green plaid coat a la Wimp Sanderson. Seems like Oats has revived that tradition.
  14. Watching on cbs sports and seeing ads for visit Sioux Falls. Wtf?
  15. How do you get paid out and who are the other people in the pool (and what teams do they have). I say you play to win the game, so who do you think actually wins the title. You can't pick that team this week. If just getting to next week gets you money, then you maybe take the surest thing, which I would say is MSU. Then you'd just have to hope that the Jacks threepeat, which is what I think will happen. If you think this is MSU's year, then go SDSU this week and MSU in the final.
  16. Hopefully UND can follow suit.
  17. Your pick in 2023 was the Rangers?
  18. They are also in prime recruiting grounds besides the 2 New England basketball schools that are independents.
  19. More sports are moving back to OTA broadcast with the demise of the regional sports networks. OTA picture quality is vastly superior to cable.
  20. How about develop and improve existing players?
  21. meant no disrespect to Reid, I think he's a great coach, just noting that in the context of winning, having an all-time QB certainly doesn't hurt (same with Belichek who was referenced earlier). Some guys also just mesh in certainly situations. Other than the 82 Braves, Joe Torre's managerial career was pretty ho-hum, but he came to the Yankees at just the right time, and having multiple all-time greats didn't hurt. I don't think he became noticeably smart baseball wise, he was just in the right place at the right time. That's what most of life is about.
  22. It's almost like having great players makes one a better coach.
  23. In today's world you always have room. No loyalty, just mercenaries. I won't be surprised if there are coming changes that no longer require the pretense of being students and pesky challenges like class time will go away.
  24. College football away from the top 50 schools is probably dying or at least falling in popularity and relevance. Michael MacKelvie did a great video on this. https://youtu.be/LhJlEId04oA?si=-4RHwTrT5JRvfZxM
  25. Yep. Playoffs next year not at all unreasonable and hopefully at least one win. Deep playoff run in 26
