College baseball is Southern and west coast dominated. Denver and KC both have MLS franchises so soccer culture is there certainly much easier to compete for a spot in college cup than college world series.
-
Hopefully have some recruits in the house tonight

How is Alabama getting home cooking calls in GF?

We better get the win tonight as I see a couple of beatdowns coming in Tuscaloosa. What a magical night at the Betty. Wish I was there.

Hope the collective has the wallet open to keep Treysen. If he leaves, would love to see him at UNC.

Would have been cool if Sather had come out in a green plaid coat a la Wimp Sanderson. Seems like Oats has revived that tradition.

Watching on cbs sports and seeing ads for visit Sioux Falls. Wtf?

How do you get paid out and who are the other people in the pool (and what teams do they have). I say you play to win the game, so who do you think actually wins the title. You can't pick that team this week. If just getting to next week gets you money, then you maybe take the surest thing, which I would say is MSU. Then you'd just have to hope that the Jacks threepeat, which is what I think will happen. If you think this is MSU's year, then go SDSU this week and MSU in the final.

Hopefully UND can follow suit.

Your pick in 2023 was the Rangers?
-
They are also in prime recruiting grounds besides the 2 New England basketball schools that are independents.

More sports are moving back to OTA broadcast with the demise of the regional sports networks. OTA picture quality is vastly superior to cable.

How about develop and improve existing players? -
meant no disrespect to Reid, I think he's a great coach, just noting that in the context of winning, having an all-time QB certainly doesn't hurt (same with Belichek who was referenced earlier). Some guys also just mesh in certainly situations. Other than the 82 Braves, Joe Torre's managerial career was pretty ho-hum, but he came to the Yankees at just the right time, and having multiple all-time greats didn't hurt. I don't think he became noticeably smart baseball wise, he was just in the right place at the right time. That's what most of life is about.

It's almost like having great players makes one a better coach.

In today's world you always have room. No loyalty, just mercenaries. I won't be surprised if there are coming changes that no longer require the pretense of being students and pesky challenges like class time will go away.

College football away from the top 50 schools is probably dying or at least falling in popularity and relevance. Michael MacKelvie did a great video on this. https://youtu.be/LhJlEId04oA?si=-4RHwTrT5JRvfZxM

Yep. Playoffs next year not at all unreasonable and hopefully at least one win. Deep playoff run in 26

Very likely in a conference room at MSP.

any truth to the new contract including free 4 bedroom at Memorial Village for first year while looking for permanent home.

No arguably about it. I think Fruechte worked with what he had. Would love to see what he would recruit at the position.
-
I'd give Philip Vigil at CSU Pueblo a look, pretty solid resume and variety of connections and recruiting areas. Mike McElroy from Bethel could be a real up and comer, familiar with core recruiting areas. Brad Spencer from North Central (IL) is another that certainly seems to know how to win and is in the youngish mold.

Odd seems to be how UND does things now
-
If they are going to keep this series they need to write into the co tract that UND can broadcast on midco from Bemidji. If it's a straight home and home moving forward that should have been a requirement. But I agree this does not merit being an annual series. It is not a rivalry that needed to be protected.

Didn't Danny recruit all our QBs. Hard to be impressed with his work and their seeming lack of progression if a walk on took the job. Offense was more well rounded and modern this year, even with inexperienced play under center. I guess we'll see how much of a difference he makes in Brookings next year when they will have sizable turnover. I'm not mad at him but I don't see his departure as a devastating loss.
