  1. Oh really? Thanks, Sherlock. Just implying your example isn't apples to apples.
  2. Not always the case.... J.J. doesn't have to sit this year, Clive played right away, Braden Hanson hit the field fight away for UND, and so did many other FBS drop downs.
  3. Wow! With the possible position changes of Palmborg and Geier, sliding them up closer to line of scrimmage and the addition of guys like Haas and Turner, with established guys such as Disterhaupt and Lawrence -- that is some serious speed on the edges!!!!
  4. Good stuff! I meant to add Jaxon Turner to the mix, too.
  5. My best guesses looking at LBs for 2017: Prognosis: Pretty thin MLBs -- Starters: O'Brien, Rodgers; 2-deep options: Dijon Murray, Cameron Hunt OLBs -- Starters: Disterhaupt, Lawrence; 2-deep options: Keelan Poole, Ray Haas Waiting in the wings: Jake Rastas Possible pulled RS: Noah Larson
  6. I wanna say Russo and Mortel .... would think they'll be even more ready after winter weights, spring and fall camp. Oh and more trips to the feed wagon. LOL! edit: I can't find the exact write up but there were really good reports on TOBIN, too.
  7. That's what I thought. I tend to agree.
  8. Blair intrigues me. Undersized but with good footwork and technique.
  9. So since we want to focus on the thick-ankle dudes that pave the way for TDs instead of the flashy objects that actually score them -- are we projecting, from an experience standpoint (granted that lingering injuries and spring/fall camp performances can alter things), an O line that looks like this: LT Stockwell, Sr. LG Bell, Sr. C Aplin, Jr. RG Taylor, Jr. RT Cox, Sr. Any up and comers angling to dethrone a presumed starter and seize a job?
  10. Which season? Next? Ok, you know who's likely returning, and you've seen the Hudl tape on the ones who red shirted and the one likely to sign on the dotted line in February..... So how we gonna do next year, Mel Kiper? World beaters? Middle of the pack? Also rans? ( :
  11. Or is that Aneta? Wasn't Carla Christofferson from Tolna?
  12. She won't be out there on Saturday, either.
  13. I had the same thought. Although I think Reyes might have caused him to cough up the ball a few times. They've got some big rangy returning linebackers that will give us fits. From a defensive standpoint, I think they're the kind of offense that plays to our strengths with that read option stuff.
  14. Utes run a lot. Throw less than we do!
  15. Sounds like a number of so-called role players found their stride over the last couple of games in Szabla's absence and with Fallon in foul trouble early last night. Just what we need heading into the conference season.
  16. Good call. For some reason I lumped Morrison in there as an OL, so yeah, we would need more, especially after the 2015 losses.
  17. We've brought in 12 OLs, including Coe, in the last two years. We have two committed so far for 2017. This in addition to stockwell, Bell, Aplin, Taylor, Cox and Stiner. Our 2015 class toook a hit, tho, with the losses of Grady and Merz and the fizzling out of Camy.
  18. Like GS says.... if he's up to it and ready, but it's a good sign if he's coming in mid-year.
  19. Is it the only UND women's game you've seen this year? Small sample. Rivalry games have a way of manufacturing extra nerves, emotions, etc. it's still early and I fully expect this team to make a run at The Dance, ala last year.
  20. Very true. In our favor, Hooker has a chance to be a bigger offensive player, at home, this time; and hopefully Cortez is ready to go by then.
  21. Does anyone know or has Eric Schmidt ever mentioned what he might have whispered in J.T. O' Sullivan's ear at the 8:08 to 8:15 mark of the video? In my mind, it went something like this.... "My boys and I will be here all day.'"
  22. Coe is ready!!!! "Coe didn't practice much last week during UND's first-round bye of the FCS tournament, and he said the time off has helped him recover from nagging injuries. "I'm feeling strong," he said.
  23. I didn't see the game but after glancing at the last few posts, it must have been a heartbreaking loss for UND yesterday.
