Hopefully Kawaguchi can become another in a line of UND players that came in undersized and under the radar a bit like Duncan and Caggiula. I know the coaches probably knew what they were getting with those guys. Not a lot of press about those guys starting out, not like the buzz with Rocco. St. Cloud has made a living off of those kind of players that panned out pretty well like Ryan Lasch, Garrett Roe, Jared Festler, David Morley, Jimmy Murray, etc. Hoping that Kawaguchi can be the next in line that takes off and stays all four years.

Perhaps the reason that they made the move on Kawaguchi is because they saw the writing on the wall for Bowers going elsewhere. I guess we'll see. Would be nice to have that problem with Bowers coming.

If they are going to commit to the women's program because they think it can compete for National titles, then they need to actually start to show some of that promise. I agree that they lose far too often to teams that they shouldn't lose to. To be honest, I think Bemidji State under Jim Scanlan has shown more improvement than UND has under Idalski.

There were some saying in August that Heisenberg has him committed to Denver, but he isn't listed as committed there on his site now. Looks like he has been a pretty consistent scorer in the BCHL. Saw he is a cousin of former Wild player Devin Setagouchi.

True, I sometimes think that LaDue's contribution was understated because he wasn't as flashy as others, but he really was steady as a rock on both ends of the ice.

They can become very good, but you don't lose 5 guys to the pros and not have some growing pains, especially when a lot of the offensive output came from the back end. Wasn't there some stat the last few years that most of the top teams in the country had top scoring defenses. We have the guys that can make a step, but you don't replace experienced guys like Stecher and LaDue without feeling it. I would think whoever wins the league this year will have at least twice as many losses as we did last year.

True, but even if they don't sport the new logo, who cares? I am sick of the booing too, but each person is going to come to terms with the new logo in their own time, so to paint those that aren't gung ho about it as the bad guys isn't helping either.
