  1. Sounds like you are the one who is upset at Dean for letting his team salute.
  2. So you can only salute your fans for their support if you win? I hope they are not saluting themselves. Maybe they should only give autographs to little kids if they sweep.
  3. What is it with the stick salute police? If they want to salute their fans, so be it. I remember when Minnesota fans were mocking UND for saluting with a win and a tie. After all, we copied the stick salute.

    2015 season

Thought NDSU fans could care less about playing UND.
  5. No matter how people try to flame or argue with Schlossman, I have never seen him tweet anything disrespectful. Not very professional of this guy, but then again maybe that is why he is not a source I would, or have gone to for credible information. Makes you wonder about his upbringing, or worse yet, if he is doing any himself. Chances are if you have to be the one touting your own hockey knowledge instead of others doing it for you, you might not be as insightful as you think you are. Could stand to follow Brad a little closer and take a few lessons on class.
  6. I find that hard to believe that it is sold out when they were half empty last year. Also, why would you be able to buy single tickets if they are being saved for ticket packages from last year or if they are sold out. My friend was told he could get those seats once single game tickets went on sale. Usually they want you to buy packages, so if single game tickets hadn't yet been on sale, those seats should have been available for the whole tournament.
  7. Anyone ever get any reason why they wouldn't sell packages anywhere but in the corners? All the seats towards the center of the ice can't already be taken, so why would you prevent people from buying packages there? Are they trying to maintain areas so when they know what teams make it, they can put their fans in the same section? Kind of confused with the reasoning, because I know people who wanted to buy tickets but didn't because all they could get were the corners.
  8. And that is without the benefit of open net goals, as we don't seem to be able to connect on open nets very often.
  9. I think technically UND was the top seed in the Frozen Faceoff, because I think they reseed after the first round.
  10. ... and other teams don't? Obviously there is no guarantee, but our chances are as good as any other team, probably better. Guess I'll take Andy Murray's opinion over this guy's drivel.
  11. So who is more likely to have a bad game in goal, a team that doesn't have consistent goaltending, or one that does? Stupid premise, but Zane has had a few games where he wasn't himself and they still won. Oh, and I didn't know Minnesota swept Colorado College last weekend, but maybe he was bound to have a bad article!
  12. Sounds like you are a little obsessed with us as well. Don't really care to frequent a Miami message board, or do they have one? Maybe you can be like Mariucci and try convince us how good you are. Sounds a bit like Jan Brady syndrome to me. Why don't you just know you are good and not try to prove it to everyone.

    PWR 2014-2015

    Pot, kettle, black.
  14. If indeed he is out for a while, you lose one of your best penalty killers, face-off guy, finishers, and guy who has an incredible chemistry with Parks. Would be interesting to see Parks stats with and without Mac. Hopefully he can make it back at some point.
  15. Much like when Grafton pulled upsets, I think you still have the same favorites. When you double up on shots in high school and lose, you tip your hat to the goalie, which got both Central and Red River. Losing guys to juniors has really hurt the talent level playing high school hockey. Guys like Benson, Christian and Morelli, as well as others that think they have to play elsewhere to get noticed has taken away the really top end talent.
  16. After watching Through These Doors and seeing the dedication all of these guys have to the program, I would like to express my thanks to all of them for that dedication and passion. I know that guys like Mattson and O'Donnell have been scrutinized beyond belief for a lot of their career and for them to maintain that passion is admirable. Before fans nitpick with perfection as a baseline, remember this episode and the level of effort these guys put in to the program. I don't know of any other program that would have this many seniors with that kind of dedication and respect for the program. Guys that haven't seen the ice as much as they would with other programs exemplify that passion. Panzarella has been a great role player for UND, filling in when needed by always being ready, and logging important minutes when we need him. I can't respect him enough. I hope all of the players know that through all of the unbelievable scrutiny they go through by the fans, that we all want the same thing -- to add to the legacy of Sioux hockey, even if sometimes the expectations are unrealistic. To that end, I can think of nothing better, or fitting than for this group of Seniors to add to that legacy, and their own by going on to win as much hardware as possible, and the ultimate -- the NCAA Championship. That will mean a lot more sacrifice and making sure that every shift for 4 games means something, and that a foolish penalty or shift off in the first period, may add to a poor result as much as one in the third. We all know the hanging of the heads feeling when coming up just short in the past and I can only imagine the things that go through players minds in the "what if" scenarios. You already have a legacy of hard work and dedication along with some hardware, now hopefully you can add the Big Prize to that legacy. Either way you are Sioux through and through, and we as fans recognize that and say Thank You for that commitment to the program.
  17. What mens sport do you propose to cut for Title 9 compliance?

I think they should have taken names and done a lottery when they initially went on sale to the public. Goodness knows it was random who got them to begin with, as some got tickets long after others had been denied during the process. Wouldn't mind them doing the same for the second time around, because it wouldn't upset people so much that stood in line or tried to get online to get tickets. At least you wouldn't have to go through an irritating process and come out of it feeling like the whole process was a sham.
  19. Supposedly Gaarder had his eyes gouged by someone.
  20. ... and during an era when scoring is at an all-time low in college hockey. Is Common Man still looking for Preposterous Statement entries?
  21. ... and if we weren't on such a run, you probably see them in the lineup here and there, but I don't think they want to mess with success right now.

Exactly. The reason Minnesota keeps bidding on regionals even after they missed making them was because they wanted to set their team up for success. If your fan base is assured where they are going to be if they make the tournament, they can buy tickets before everyone else like they did at Scheels.

I don't know, with Chris Semrau being with that facility, they could possibly work together to put in a bid.
  24. A year of getting stronger, and I might add finishing your degree in case things don't work out.
