Personally, I tend to like Alex Heinert's call more than Looker's.

Maybe not so much part of the GOBC, but maybe more in the vain of Captain Obvious or you stayed at a Holiday Inn Express.

Exactly. If you were thinking high end players coming out of high school or even juniors, Colton and Tucker Poolman wouldn't have been high on many teams' lists, but they have intangibles that make them guys you need on your team. Ditto with guys like Connor Gaarder and Steph Pattyn.

He decommitted from Wisconsin, but someone on this site said it was only a matter of time before he and Randklev committed here. Don’t know if they had some inside info or not, but he did get injured and missed the rest of the year. Don’t know the extent of the injury.

I will be watching guys like Tyler Weiss, who was drafted higher than Hain. Another guy that interested me was Grant Cruikshank who is going to CC. The reason Senden is coming in is because another role player isn’t coming. With the inequities we had last year I wouldn’t have minded if we would have made a late move for guys who might have a higher offensive upside, even if it meant stepping on a few toes.

We definitely had trouble scoring at times last year, but so did Duluth down the stretch, and like us their leading scorer was a defenseman, a freshman one at that. They also had a first rounder that was a sophomore. I guarantee that if we had a sophomore first rounder last year (Jost), we score a lot more and we don’t have a defenseman lead our team in scoring.

This draft is a perfect example why blue chip being defined as first round as flawed. Every team had different players rated higher from 12 or so through 50, so each saw players between those numbers as blue chip. There were fans that lamented us not getting Bode Wilde, yet not only did JBD go higher, Wilde isn’t going to Michigan anyway. The fact that a standing All American player like Perunovich wouldn’t be considered blue chip further illustrates that point.

Isn’t Fabbro playing his third year?

So we're giving out all this scholarship money for our fans only being able to see 5 home games? Hardly seems worthwhile if you look at it like that. Hockey plays 4-5 times more games so the money should be distributed that way.

Did you used to play football for UND and always lost out on women to hockey players, or what is your issue?
-
Good point, I suppose the big club’s interest level on signing them would drive the timeline more than ego.

http://www.sportingnews.com/nhl/news/nhl-mock-draft-2018-picks-order-projections-rasmus-dahlin-sabres-canadiens-blackhawks-rangers/1wwd425dls1km1pjod5zbjj4sc Wouldn't it be cool if both Tychonick and Bernard Docker got drafted by the same team as this mock has? They certainly would be able to grow together, but then if one leaves early, does the other too?

Did they enact being able to dress one extra player per game? Seems like an odd thing to do, because it makes it less of an issue for a team if they get someone booted out for checking from behind or fighting. Seems like the NCAA would want a team to be disadvantaged under those scenarios. Also makes it more likely a team would retaliate at a cheap shot that happened either in that game or previous games. Seems like there might be some unintended consequences to the change if they did enact it.

He tied for 5th on the team in goals with 13.
-
He won? What is a win in that situation? Even if they have a new agreement by a threat of a lawsuit, things down the road may never be the same. Guess we'll never know the costs of the "win".
-
How so Mr. Insider. What are the details? Prove to us you actually know something by sharing something that will come out in the Herald eventually anyway.

Illinois would have to go to the Big Ten, wouldn’t they?
-
Agree, 100%. If those same people were held to the same lofty standards, they probably wouldn't have a job. Would bet they perceive themselves flawless though.
-
That is if they don't get an activist judge.
-
That all you got!

Can NDUS file a countersuit saying this lawsuit is frivolous since UND has already been found to be Title IX compiant? Seems to me that these athletes just want to hurt UND for dropping the program, knowing they probably won't win. Some of them shouldn't have had scholarships to begin with, but that is another story.

What is the main reason baseball was cut?

I think frustration is what sums it up for most fans. It just seems odd that during college when you make lifelong friends that you would leave for a one and done scenario when professional opportunities wouldn't really improve. I certainly can see if you are looking at different educational opportunities, but you would think that a bonding experience such as the trip to the NCAA last year would really make leaving your friends for another school difficult without those opportunities. But as you say, hope he does well and is an impact player for the team he chooses, because that would reflect well on our level of basketball.
