  1. Didn't Minnesota get a misconduct for cussing out the ref after their 5 minute checking from behind? A lot of bad Minnesota fans at the game too. Had a guy stand in front of me, and when politely asked to sit down, he, in Vegas terms, doubled down and continued to stand to be a jerk. You would think when you are outnumbered that badly you wouldn't go overboard to be confrontational, but certainly not the case for some of the Minnesota fans that attended.
  2. Until they lose, then you will want to move again!
  3. Hopefully we can do our part to narrow that gap this weekend!
  4. What is their record?
  5. Yeah, you don't get to be a "B' rated prospect, especially for a goalie and not have major potential.
  6. I think it depends on the scouting service. Craig Button sometimes has things a little different than others. The last Central Scouting release had Rizzo as a B rated prospect and Blaisdell a C. https://nhl.bamcontent.com/images/assets/binary/300549566/binary-file/file.pdf
  7. Caulfield already has 4 goals against NCAA competition, so that's got to help his learning curve. Would be nice to add a few more a little up the ladder with Cam York and Marcus Kallionkieli at 24 and 32 respectively.

But if it were Faison people would complain that he missed a big football game.

Better not see Chaves in Vegas!
  10. It's too bad because I know the coaches were excited about his leadership capabilities as well.
  11. There were also some that speculated that he wouldn't come at all based on his USHL numbers. It goes to show you that numbers aren't everything and can be deceptive depending on the roles players are fulfilling.
  12. ...and all the people thinking twice about paying $50 more per ticket probably wouldn't be going with the travel prices anyway.
  13. He said they want to keep demand, and with all the tickets for sale online for Orleans, the environment in T-Mobile would not have been good half full
  14. Don't know how you get long season after last night's game, unless you think that is what you can expect from goaltending all year. Guarantee if the results were opposite last night fans would be saying we were lucky their goaltending was bad because we were outplayed.
  15. So far we have Wilbur, Sioux Rube and scpa0305 that are off. Stay tuned.
  16. Thank you, was wondering what game some were watching.
  17. Cam York, who plays for the National Development team. Will be looking on the bench in warmups tonight to see if it is someone that looks familiar.
  18. Gotcha. Yeah, had those not been prevalent, we make the NCAA field, then who knows.
  19. Hopefully he looked like this.
  20. Don't know, but it looks like he has visited a number of Big Ten schools.
  21. I know we have high standards, but embarrassing isn't the word I would use considering we A. had home ice for the playoffs again B. made the NCHC Frozen Faceoff again C. Lost to the #1 overall seed in overtime in the faceoff & D. beat the eventual National Champs in the frozen faceoff. Was Duluth .0001 away from having an embarrassing year? I know it is all perspective, but thought we were actually playing our best hockey at the end of the year.
  22. This guy looks like a finisher that could help us. Hope the coaches are looking at him.
  23. There is cause for concern because of the stated goals coming in, but I agree that people jump to conclusions too fast. If we absolutely throttled Mankato this weekend, people would trend to the other side of the ledger. That said, they need to come away with some positive results this weekend, for their confidence besides what it means in the Pairwise. I think last year there was a period when they just looked defeated, and they need to change that into a little swagger this year.
  24. But you were fine with down years if we won a Natty!
  25. My concern is that Berry says that work ethic and intensity isn't the problem which is in direct contrast to what he said after Friday's game in Bemidji saying they had a lot of passengers. Are we at the stage where the team psyche can't handle the truth that they didn't work hard enough to win? I remember Cary Eades saying he had to change a bit in the way he approached players as far as needing to be more positive. Are guys like Dean Blais a thing of the past? Players may not respond as well to coaches like Blais anymore, but I do think they need to get the Hakstol stare every once in a while to keep them honest.
