  1. Wonder if Murray signed his letter of intent.
  2. You think St. Cloud is going to stay that high with the losses they had?
  3. You would think all of that would have been addressed during the concept phase if the consultants were doing what they were paid to do.
  4. Yeah, because they knew that San Jose would score 4 goals on a power play. Has that ever happened before? If the Sioux did that, I would be mad at the call, but more upset that my team was so pathetic in killing it.
  5. If he goes to Penticton as rumored, he and Rizzo could maybe develop a chemistry. Hopefully Bubba could make room, as we know Randklev will probably come in as well as Rizzo, Gaber, and Stratton. Says he broke tons of records at Thayer Academy where guys like Tony Amonte, Ryan Whitney, and Charlie Coyle played.
  6. But according to some in our fan base, if you don’t score a lot early in your career you’re a failure and should be ditched for someone new.
  7. Wonder what their logo will look like, and which consultant group they pay to come up with it.
  8. Don’t forget LaDue, and Tucker and Colton Poolman.
  9. ...and how many will constantly talk about how they missed on a local kid should they go elsewhere and turn out to be decent. People talked about Jacob Benson being a miss because they didn’t early recruit him. None of these guys are offered full rides at this point, and to get legacy guys that have the work ethic and passion for the program certainly can’t hurt.
  10. I heard they are changing those signs in the lobby to "The harder we work, the luckier the other team gets!"

    Shaw's gone.

https://www.grandforksherald.com/sports/hockey/4602133-matt-shaw-reflects-his-time-und Pretty classy interview with Shaw. Glad he will take good memories with him.
  12. Not much leadership on the Jets. How do you have that kind of effort in an elimination game?

    Shaw's gone.

...and tough guy Motzko had an issue with Montgomery?
  14. They have a ton of talent on this team, many that have set USA records, so the fact that he doesn’t play a ton isn’t surprising. Noticed he was out there short handed on a 5 on 3, so they must trust him to be responsible. I can see how the top guys set records, since they play all the time including when the game is well in hand. Putting them out on the power play with two minutes left with a game well in hand seems a bit much.
  15. http://collegehockeyinc.com/articles/2015/09/10-need-know-facts-about-ncaa-hockey-scholarships.php Has it changed since 2015? I’ve always heard they can split them how they want.
  16. Watched the U18 game last night, and noticed he coasted quite a bit. Hope that is not what we can expect. Those kind of tournaments don't really give us an accurate picture of success at the college level. Those guys will obviously make impacts, but don't know that they would dominate, especially their freshman year. Most of the big names won't last longer than two years in college. You would have thought by his performance Wahlstrom would have ripped up college hockey. We have seen the same kind of thing with the World Juniors, guys who absolutely dominated but didn't really do the same after the tournament.
  17. By the time they are ready, the next big thing will come around. Would be nice if they can come up with something creative to keep fans engaged. I always enjoyed the little trunk monkey clips and stuff like that. Someone getting creative with new video clips would be nice.
  18. Thought you were talking about Kennedy. The way he has cast aspersions on North Dakotans about being racist to further his agenda leads me to believe diplomacy isn't his greatest asset, and no doubt the "We can sue you" line is probably true, even though he can't remember saying it.

    Shaw's gone.

Hak to coach up until the Frozen Four, then Berry from there.

    Shaw's gone.

That’s true. Would think he would do it, but maybe he didn’t feel like he needed to save face.

    Shaw's gone.

As much as I think something needed to be done, I wish they could have given him a way to save face and say that he enjoyed his time here with his son, but he wanted to explore other avenues. I hope he takes good memories from here in the Championship season.
  22. Would guess Anderson would be more likely than Wolf for UMD.
  23. I’m shocked that Mr. Pessimist can’t see any reason for optimism! Of course you couldn’t see the bright side when we were making it to the Frozen Four every year either, so not sure anyone would be surprised.
  24. You look at how Denver outplayed UMass and the territorial advantage we had against Denver, and I think you have reason to be very optimistic. I do think guys like Mismash, Adams, Weatherby and Hain all take steps forward, and with our defense it isn’t going to take a lot to change some outcomes. If our power play is worse, someone will probably lose their job.
  25. For sure, there isn't a forward that they have that strikes the fear in you, or that you say is a sure thing NHL top six guy, but they do what they have to do to win.
