  1. If it's the wrong decision it's his decision so he deals with the consequences. I wonder how many people on this board have made decisions in their lives that turned out to be bad in hindsight. In the same token, I'm sure we've all made decisions that worked out. The fact that so many people are so vehement about another person's decision makes me think that they are living vicariously through other people, which makes me wonder if they made all the right decisions in their lives.
  2. Not only did we lose a ton of our top scorers, we lose two of the best faceoff guys in college hockey, preventing offense from the opponent. I think Ford had good numbers, but we need Senden, etc. to pick up the slack.

  4. I don’t equate this to Tambellini whatsoever. Tambellini didn’t want to work for more playing time in certain situations. I have a feeling if this was Pinto leaving this late he would get a little more slack, but I think people have the kneeling episode as another knock against Jasper even though it seemed they forgave him down the stretch of last year when he was producing better than anyone. I’m not so sure everyone would hold fast to a decision if they were pressed by their future employer and had the pot sweetened. It would be interesting to know the coaches and players feelings and what kind of communication took place during and after San Jose’s camp.
  5. You definitely don’t want to just throw scholarship money to anyone, as there may be plenty more options in the future, but it would be nice to get someone that could help us this year, if there is someone out there that can.
  6. You lose half your team it’s tough, especially all your top scorers. The transfers will have to be huge if we are going to contend, but I imagine chemistry will take time.
  7. So maybe the University should wait until late August to renew season tickets so the fanbase can make decisions in their best interests. You lose your #1 Center this late is going to be tough. Being strong down the center is huge and losing all that we lost besides, we could be fighting for home ice.
  8. Had they committed to come back?
  9. Hopefully we get another Connor Gaarder as a late add.
  10. I don’t think Michigan succeeding is as important as the players succeeding when they get to the next level.
  11. Aren’t they planning something like this south of KingsWalk? Is it hard to mitigate against a huge mosquito breeding ground?
  12. True, Duluth is looking for a few Good Old Boys bandwagon hoppers.
  13. Sympl anser, I assume it would have to be Goehring since he only won one as a player. Both Jackson and Herter won as assistant coaches but not as players.
  14. Which begs the question of why you quit as associate head coach of a championship team and then join as assistant coach at a less successful team. Was there something behind the scenes, or did he miss hockey and want to come back? Edit. The story said he quit to pursue pro scouting to spend more time with family. Maybe his kid/kids have moved on to college now.
  15. I got the shot, but they keep changing the goalposts. So, being that some aren’t getting it, should they cancel college sports again to protect everyone?
  16. Just wear a mask to get us through this. Just take a shot to get us through this. Just wear a mask to go along with your vaccination. Just get the booster shot and wear a mask...
  17. Well, at the very least we know that gfhockey has Shaugabay as a Blue Chippah, so we have a means of comparison in the future.
  18. There is a consensus on complaining. Not enough to do for young people, don't get good enough recruits. Why can't we have this, Why can't we have that? You can never please that crowd because that is their joy in life.
  19. Looks like Shaugabay committed to Duluth as well. I thought I had heard that he was a big fan of North Dakota.
  20. Should we expect a rash of commitments around the country on August 1st, or will some coaches be a little tentative since Covid shut down getting a firsthand look at those that become eligible to recruit on that date.
  21. Where are the reporters that tried to shame Rahm because he hadn’t been fully vaccinated when he was forced to withdraw from the Memorial tournament now that he already had Covid and has been fully vaccinated?
  22. Where did Kiersted and Stecher go?
  23. Well, how many years has their development on the south end been put on hold or abandoned? People bought townhomes there based on the proposed development.
  24. Committee failed big time. To have a certain criteria and to come up with one of the most generic names really makes me wonder why you set criteria to begin with.
  25. Right now 32nd avenue gets all the traffic from the south end trying to get on the interstate. They need something to take some pressure off that.
