There were empty seats. But being a season ticket holder for more than 10 years there were also more than 9800 fans at that game. Is that better? Again, I never once said it was a sellout. That was another one of your Bison faithful being concerned about UND attendance numbers.
-
No, it implies that UND followed the same tactic of every other school that reports playoff attendance and under reported. I never said it sold out. So what I said was accurate.
-
Big game for the program tonight vs. Brookings Univ. Gane is still on as scheduled.
-
You put all the people standing on the cat walks in seats and they weren't far off. It's capacity for football is slightly over 12,000.
-
If we get stronger up front offensively this off season, no reason not to expect another undefeated conference run. The teams in our conference cannot play to our style if we get things clicking. It's been proven over the last couple of years. We need to continue to develop the MVFV type oline. Getting closer, not there yet.
-
Don't forget how the interest was so high they could charge an average of $40/ticket. Oops
-
I have no idea. Could the new stadium be part of the reason attendance was so high for them? Likely. When it came down to it and tickets had to be paid for, UND nearly sold out and doubled their attendance. How much more apples to apples do you want?
-
Yes. Move those goal posts. Very--well--amusing. Continue to try and downplay everything UND football.
-
We lost about 10 yards of field position on that as the white hat had to throw the flag from Winnipeg since the official right in front of the call missed it.
-
No link. I was averaging the link posted above and the over exaggeration of KFGO this morning stating it was 90% Hawk fans. Official attendance was 11,348 so that put it slightly over 10,000.
-
I don't disagree with him. The goal next year will be improve over this year. We don't lose a lot for numbers but it's a lot of experience and if we can't backfill, next year will be maintain vs improvement.
-
But I thought SDSU football generated more interest than UND and it wasn't even close. Pretty important game to just not have half (or more) of the usual people show up. Cripes, UND had 9,000+ in NYC at the same time.
-
I saw that. The speculation is by fans on their fan site. Others also complain about the poor attendance I will go off what their associate AD is reporting since they choose not to list it elsewhere. I am sure it is under reported but usually that is by a thousand or so (give or take). That seems to be what schools are doing.
-
We don't play NAU next year and USD will be a battle regardless. That team will be solid next season but so will we. I expect an offseason of player development and a staff looking for "immediate" help where needed or available.
-
We nearly doubled their playoff attendance on Saturday. Can't really spin that.
-
6,154 is what is being reported by their Associate AD- Tyler Merriman on his twitter feed.
-
Sitting behind Richnonds bench that play gave them life. The long pass shortly after gave them energy and momentum. I get what your saying but a three and out there would have absolutely crushed them. Game of emotion

Up until yesterday UND didn't lose playoff games at home either but it happens. Getting that many students to show up was a reward for the great season. Not breaking any news by saying without wins fans don't show up. Look back 3 years for proof of that.
-
Missed opportunity with the students?? What more do they need to understand how important they are? $1000's of dollars were donated by fans like us to get them to the game. Do they need rides next year too? I thought the students were great and based off Richmond's players and coaches reactions after the win, both groups making a point to come back and talk smack to the student sections, I'd say the students had plenty of fun during the game.
-
Boltman was defensive player of the game for his team. Had a pick 6.
-
Tough schedule next year but looks good not having Weber or Cal Poly on it. May have to make a trip to Montana next year if I can. Would like to take a game in out there. WTF is up with another bye at seasons end. I think if there was any rust yesterday is was between WR and QB.
-
I'd agree it was more. Underreported number.
-
Go !@#$ yourself. And best of luck the rest of the way.

This will be the biggest challenge of the season. Need to see our best game of the season. I am a little concerned about our freshmen WRs and their ability to get open today. Hoping Murcer has a big day. Need to throw for at least 200 today. Defensively, make them one dimensional and hopefully crowd noise is a factor. UND- 27 Richmond- 24

I am one of the many in North Dakota that does not have electricity to their homes yet so it's not worth much. Hoping to upgrade the horse and buggy this year though.
