  1. Why make a lateral (depends on opinion) move when you are just starting to build momentum in your athletic dept. and your current conference
  2. Did you realize your volleyball team was still playing?
  3. Despite what FU fans think there is more than football in an athletic dept I was actually referring to our volleyball team winning the postseason tournament yesterday as well You can't win anything more if your sitting at home when the playoffs start so yeah, waiting to hear your name called on the selection show is a success We have been close in some sports the last few years but seem to be off to a good start this year with two conference championships and two post season appearances this fall.
  4. After the last couple weeks, why would the AD and President still be considering this? Fans have been the entire transition plus a few for success like this.

You must not have heard UNI only had 5 home games.

Just go read B'ville. They have it all figured out.
  7. Why is leaving this conference on the table again? Two NCAA tournament selection shows in two weeks for UND athletics. Great job ladies.

With SHSU getting a 30+ point win today I think it will be interesting to see how far they climb. The committee has had a boner for them since the first week, now it can be justified with the most impressive win of the day.

I'm getting more worried about this as this game goes along.

Good thing Montana was not on our schedule this year. Would have weakened it.

I believe it was because their starting right guard lost his helmet and calling a timeout got him back in the game for 3rd down.
  13. I was wondering how much the Big Sky takes of the gate. I imagine they take some so there would likely be under reporting by the host school.
  14. EWU strikes on a 46 yd TD pass. 14-7 PSU
  15. Women up 2-0 at intermission
  16. For anyone that gets ROOT sports, EWU and Portland St is on tonight

I would say that game is a toss up. I don't think I would be confident putting any money down on either team.

http://nobowls.com/ Probably the best breakdown I have seen heading into the weekend. Likely the most realistic bracket as well based on odds at this point. Still don't agree with UNI but it's looking like everyone thinks they are in with a win.
  19. Maybe for the players. The fight with PP and UNI got the fans engaged.
  20. Geography yes, history kind of takes care of itself if you give it time.
  21. I don't know. Going back to 2012 you yourself have rumored them going anywhere from the Sunbelt, CAA and the WAC. At one time you mentioned something about Tressel pulling out all the stops to get them FBS and said a poster from another board with Idaho sources said they were as good as gone.
  22. And YSU leaving could be the reason UND is suddenly being discussed by the MVFC. I'd argue SIU as they are no better than most of the Big Sky.
  23. It has taken some time but I think we are just starting to see things develop in the Big Sky in the form of some rivalries. When you enter a new conference and are a doormat no one really cares but sitting in the Alerus this year in section 215, teams really want to beat UND. It is going to take games like the NAU game and fans will get excited as well. I wouldn't mind being in the same conference as the other Dakota schools but outside of those three we will be starting over with UNI and everyone east. Gothmog it took a sideline fight and a couple years for the rivalry to get developed between UNI and NDSUI. Until that point it was just another game for UNI. The SDSU game is a rivalry because of time. The other schools don't like NDSU because of their success and that is where UND needs to get in the Big Sky. This year was the first step in that, now the challenge will be to sustain this success which will not be easy. I really feel the biggest revenue boost would come from the Olympic sports moving to the Summit. There you have name recognition in NDSU, SDSU, USD, Denver and Omaha. However, again I feel like challenging Montana and Weber for success will drive that interest for MBB. Women's basketball just has to continue to win.
  24. One would think they would but unfortunately the country continues to cater to people like this all through their lives and I don't see this changing as their votes are too important to lawmakers

Possibly. I'm not sure they will lose this weekend although I did predict that USD would win one of their last two games vs. SDSU or NDSU.
