    2013 Season

We need to keep marketing this schedule over and over during the coming months in all corners of the state. I forgot how good the schedule was until I just read this release. Our first 4 games are going to be entertaining and will tell us a lot about where the season is going to go. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=206257161

    2013 Recruiting

Hopefully the tweet from Hammer means Norberg called today and solidified his commitment. I like the added coverage Hammer has given recruiting this year. The SFI guys do a fantastic job and now you add Hammer digging up some info as well on Reyes, Carr, Stockwell and now possibly Norberg.

    2013 Recruiting

Besides Norberg and possibly the TE that was speculated on being in town this weekend, I don't think any. I think its now a dead period in recruiting so the only contact we can have with a recruit is if they call. Not too much recruiting left to be done.

    2013 Recruiting

I don't know for sure but I would guess the of the 15 on campus this week is mostly guys who may get a last minute scholorship offer if someone (Norberg) decommits at the last minute with an FBS offer. You may also have some PWO type kids and maybe a few guys who haven't made up their mind on a school and we were able to get them on campus and will see what happens. Either way, the coaches sound pretty confident that they are done so hopefully that means no big surprises on Wednesday besides finding out a few unknown names.

    2013 Recruiting

Sharp and Gray were pretty similar backs so losing Gray wouldn't bother me as much as losing one of our recruits at another position. Looking forward to Wednesday to find out what other surprises there are. There are some verbals we don't know about. I remember watching Kenny Golloday's highlights last year on signing day and being very impressed. He definatley didn't disappoint this year. Hopefully we have another one or two of those guys in addition to who we already know about. Hoping the DE from Wisconsin and Gray are the only two verbals we don't see sign on Wednesday.
  6. When they went 3 for 3 on three pointers in their first few possessions of the 2nd half that obviously really hurt us. It got us out of our zone in a hurry. Schuler being matched up with Otis down low when we were in man was not a good. That is about 6'6" vs. 6'2". He had position anytime he wanted.
  7. We did for a while and than they hit 3 three pointers and we had to get out of it.
  8. Anderson misses an open layup that would have cut it to 9.
  9. We need Brekke to get in game shape and we have to shoot better than 55% from the free throw line.
  10. Yeah, I think I jinxed him. He made a few poor plays after my comment
  11. With Brekke finally back, him and Wilmer may turn into a real nice combo for us down low. Wilmer is playing some good ball right now.
  12. Brekke for two. I love to see him back.

    2013 Recruiting

Generally a Preferred Walk on is guaranteed a spot on the team where a walk on will have to go through planned try outs and attempt to earn a spot on the team. A preferred walk on may be someone who was targeted during the recruiting process but was not offered a scholorship for various reasons. Both are very important to a program and the success it has.
  14. I plan on watching. I'd like to drive up from Fargo to go but weather conditions changed those plans. I'm hoping for a better game than we had with them earlier in the year.
  15. Atleast he admitted he missed the charges. He had already covered the story itself when it happened. When I heard they were charged I already knew what they were charged for and my first thought was, they were only charged now? If your not typing players names into a public search file everyday your going to miss stuff.
  16. The big D-lineman from Century could be in the mix for some playing time along with the LB's you mentioned.

    2013 Recruiting

I know it was brought up earlier but I watched some highlights on Oscar Opara today. Man that kid is a good cornerback. I know he has some grade issues but he is a pretty impressive athlete.

    2013 Recruiting

That is good to hear. He was one I was most worried about losing before next Wednesday.

According to his Twitter account: Chris Labeots will be walking on next season.
  20. That would be nice. We could really use him for the stretch run.
  21. I hope Schlos takes note and is now quick to point out all the times things do not get reported at these other schools. Its amazing how quick these schools who no longer care about UND are quick to try and point the finger. Nice response Brad, too bad you had to actually bring facts into the conversation. In college athletics the shoe will at some time be on other foot.

    2013 Recruiting

Bell looks pretty solid on tape. All region honors in California is a nice accomplishment. Sounds like he's a solid basketball player as well. On a related note regarding recruits that UND may have offered at one time (according to rivals)- DE Anthony Greenhow gave a verbal to SIU today.
  23. I'll go with (a) and ©- they are still pissed off about all press they got in the fall and were hoping for something more to come of this. In reagards to (a)- I find it comical that their fans were e-mailing radio stations to get it on the news, only to have the softball story break later in the afternoon.
  24. Obviously all "summer" crimes are not a big deal at FU. We've all seen that first hand.
  25. Actually the second paragraph names the players (minus one) charged in December.
