Brekke for two. I love to see him back.

Generally a Preferred Walk on is guaranteed a spot on the team where a walk on will have to go through planned try outs and attempt to earn a spot on the team. A preferred walk on may be someone who was targeted during the recruiting process but was not offered a scholorship for various reasons. Both are very important to a program and the success it has.

I plan on watching. I'd like to drive up from Fargo to go but weather conditions changed those plans. I'm hoping for a better game than we had with them earlier in the year.

Atleast he admitted he missed the charges. He had already covered the story itself when it happened. When I heard they were charged I already knew what they were charged for and my first thought was, they were only charged now? If your not typing players names into a public search file everyday your going to miss stuff.

The big D-lineman from Century could be in the mix for some playing time along with the LB's you mentioned.
-
I know it was brought up earlier but I watched some highlights on Oscar Opara today. Man that kid is a good cornerback. I know he has some grade issues but he is a pretty impressive athlete.
-
That is good to hear. He was one I was most worried about losing before next Wednesday.
-
According to his Twitter account: Chris Labeots will be walking on next season.
-
That would be nice. We could really use him for the stretch run.

I hope Schlos takes note and is now quick to point out all the times things do not get reported at these other schools. Its amazing how quick these schools who no longer care about UND are quick to try and point the finger. Nice response Brad, too bad you had to actually bring facts into the conversation. In college athletics the shoe will at some time be on other foot.

Bell looks pretty solid on tape. All region honors in California is a nice accomplishment. Sounds like he's a solid basketball player as well. On a related note regarding recruits that UND may have offered at one time (according to rivals)- DE Anthony Greenhow gave a verbal to SIU today.

I'll go with (a) and ©- they are still pissed off about all press they got in the fall and were hoping for something more to come of this. In reagards to (a)- I find it comical that their fans were e-mailing radio stations to get it on the news, only to have the softball story break later in the afternoon.

Obviously all "summer" crimes are not a big deal at FU. We've all seen that first hand.
-
Actually the second paragraph names the players (minus one) charged in December.
-
Your post said "if the football players" had committed an alcohol related offense, the hammer would have come down. I guess I read it wrong and thought you were referring to the football players.
-
Of what nature, Minor in Possession? Cause that was a few of them were suspended for. Pretty sure the hammer didn't come down on that one. Try again. Your anger is against the Herald or even KFGO for not reporting the charges. Trying to compare the head coach of your football team and AD putting his foot in his mouth doesn't really hold water when compared to this situation.

I was thinking the same thing.

Please explain why you think we're behind and how the class is only decent to good. The only positions I am up in the air on is LB, CB and possibly RB. Although at RB a guy who knows a lot about IL recruits (EdgyTim) says we got a top 15 back in the state of Illinois so I'll take his word for it. At LB we signed 6 last year so its not like we needed to bring in another 4-5. I think we brought in some real talented kids at OL, WR, DL (even with the WI decomitment), and QB (if we hang onto Riddle). I think its pretty tough to grade a class until everyone signs and shows up on campus.

Connor Gaarder, Andrew Panzarella and Stephane Payne were suspended for the 2nd regular season game for violation of team rules at the same party. You can Google it and find the info. There were stories on it on UND's athletic website, the Herald and the Star Tribune with comments from Faison and Hak.
-
So MIP's should be reason for suspension now?
-
As the post above mentioned, there is no way UND was getting him as a PWO over an offer from FU. He has family ties to FU and was pretty set on going there. I was pretty surprised the coaching staff got him to think about UND as long as they did. Enough to force FU to offer a scholorship to get him.
-
Gabe, give me a quote or a link where anyone at UND compared the situation to FU?
-
See the link above. Seems like there are some specifics in there. The UND players were suspended the first regular season games that were played after they were in trouble. Not some extra gassers at practice. Go ahead and keep trying though.

I can't believe I actually went to dig this up but it lays out everything the athletic dept. did pretty openly. Faison even mentioned charges could be filed and additional actions could be taken. http://www.undsports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?DB_OEM_ID=13500&ATCLID=205687839 The reaction by Faison was a little different than Taylor's "they have suffered enough" reaction. You guys keep trying to justify how your AD and coach tripped over thier dicks with that situation. I'm sure the extra conditioning they had to do taught them that forging signitures was wrong.
