  1. In my experiences with this coaching staff they are not going to play guys who don't give them the best chance to win. I don't think they are "sticking it to Joe". He came of an Achilles tear and maybe he's not as good as he was prior to the injury and they have had the opportunity to see that in fall camp and the season.
  2. All 4 games remaining on the schedule are very winnable and I wouldn't be overly surprised. I also would not be overly surprised if we lose all 4. Especially if we continue to hurt ourselves with turnovers and 4th quarter collapses.
  3. I've always thought Bartles did a good job with presnap reads. I'm hoping with a week under his belt and a good running game today our offense has some success.
  4. I know Bison fans love to think all UND thinks about is them but you haven't been paying attention to the DBs that have been brought in this offseason and the last two recruiting classes. The staff went through one season and recognized they needed significant upgrade in the secondary and it's currently a night and day difference to what it was two years ago. If it wasn't for a dirty block by the Bison, we would be sitting good at safety right now as we don't have the depth yet.
  5. I'd like to see the formation we ran on the last play of the game last week a little more. Put Santiago out wide and put Oliveria in the backfield. A couple handoffs to Oliveria would open up the Santiago fly route down the sideline. I would have actually liked to see that play call last week at the beginning of the 4th quarter. Straight out of the Bob Babich playbook but this offense is setting up that type of play call.
  6. Tough one to predict after last week. We need to stop with the turnovers. UND- 17 WSU- 13
  7. You apparently don't think it does. My opinion is for a coaching staff that had to replace nearly half of the roster before last season, it's been pretty good. Still some work to do at some positions but that had to be expected with the turnover that was there. Guys that want to play are still around.
  8. With the teams remaining on our schedule I think all of the top four will get their chance to prove themselves. Every team left presents a different offensive scheme and it fits their skill sets differently. As long as they stick around, they will get a shot. One of them has to start standing out pretty soon.
  9. Congrats ladies. Fun to watch this young team
  10. Weber is a 3 point favorite this weekend. Saturdays weather calling for temps in the mid 60's with rain showers in the afternoon. Hopefully they have passed through come early evening.
  11. One game at a time. Had plenty of opportunities last week even with the injuries. It would have been big to get to 5 wins with 5 games left. Lots of season left but it appears there will be a lot of teams sitting at 7 wins come year end. Hoping we can find a way to win a minimum of 3 more games and be at worst one of them.
  12. Yes. I generally don't mind the back and forth with the students but that was about as classless as it gets.
  13. well it was only 1/4 full last season so I suppose that is why you are spending time posting here.
  14. generally I'd agree with that but #94 jacking off with a water bottle and blowing his load at the student section may have been a little over the top. Their players have the same attitude as their head coach.
  15. why are you suddenly so concerned about UND?
  16. If their personnel is capable of being effective. I compare it to our team. If we were coming up against an opponent that just got torched through the air, its still unlikely we would throw it 60 times as we don't have the personnel to do that and win a game.
  17. The team could win every game left on the schedule and if we continue to turn the ball over could lose every game on the schedule. It should make every remaining game interesting. The team needs to get confidence back.
  18. Defense gets the job done this week. Its not time to pack it in yet.
  19. Depends what offense we are going to run and if Joe is 100%. Bartles can't be asked to be an option running the ball. Its not his game.
  20. Weber will be a very confident bunch next week and our egos are likely a little bruised. That was their first win in Missoula in 28 years. Article from their victory at Montana. http://www.weberstatesports.com/ViewArticle.dbml?SPSID=39328&DB_LANG=C&ATCLID=210411815&SPID=3468&DB_OEM_ID=8600 Weber rushed for 253 yards on 61 attempts. Only had 13 pass attemptsWeber scored on a pick sixMontana is down to their third string QB after a foot injury to the season starting 2nd string QB
  21. I would like to see a yard after catch stat. I didn't have the biggest problem with playing off as I figured they would have a hard time driving the length of the field but they would throw a 5 yard out and we would miss the tackle and give up another ten yards.
  22. I don't think any of our 4 wins were lucky. We outplayed our competition 13 of those 16 quarters. Controlled the games for most of those 13. I need to get word on what Studsrud's injury is but I think we win 2 of those 3 games above. Possibly all 3. We match up better with those teams than a team that runs 3-5 WRs and throws it 60 times a game.
  23. even on that play, he had half a field to himself and ran for a gain of twenty. That's a big run but no threat to take it the distance.
  24. If Studsrud misses any time we need to change the offense in a week. Bartles does not fit into this read option offense. Idaho St had no fear of him tucking and running.
  25. so we are "lucky" the teams we played and beat weren't better than us? Makes zero sense.
