And this is where Title IX is flawed. I would love to see what UND could do adding $400,000 to each the WBB and WVB budgets. If my math is right, adding to those two sports, UND could feed 6 more athletes prime rib. We could afford to add to women's track and field and soccer scholorships. All this while getting rid of women's hockey. I believe what you are saying in theory but when you look around college athletics and what schools are spending on coaches salaries, special trips and locker rooms for football and/or MBB (depending on the school), I have a hard time believing the NCAA could ever enforce this at an institution.

This game will be a great game. SUU has played a very good schedule and lost to some very good football teams. Assuming we win at years end SUU could be 7-4 with losses to Montana, UND, University of Utah and BYU. That is not a bad resume. Some quality losses there. SUU is in the same spot as UND in trying to gain recognition as a Big Sky contender very year. They have been successful proving it for a little longer than us and have a talented roster. This game will set my expectations for this team going forward. I won't pick against UND but expect a close game and am really looking forward to Saturday UND- 28 SUU- 27

I respect Schlossman and Miller for being critical of UND and its leadership. You will not find that at any other media outlet in any other ND city/university. In other cities the media are fed the stories to write and question nothing. However, I disagree with Brad last night. He is tweeting about the meeting and how inappropriate it was. Everyone in the meeting room knows the sport that should be cut and if that sport was cut Brad would be more critical about someone making that decision on facts me numbers alone.

I believe UND could still outbid SDSU (assuming we make the playoffs). Their last home playoff game had 4,000 fans. The last few years they have gone on the road for the playoffs.
-
Agree to disagree. If I am playing a team like SDSU, Montana or another MVFC or Big Sky team, I would want to play them in the Alerus. We have seen what the playoff atmosphere in there can be.
-
And travel for round 2. I would like to be at home as long as possible in the playoffs.
-
Decent thinking but top 8 teams also get homefield. I would sacrifice an additional week off to host the first playoff game in a while.
-
I think there is a chance Weber is ranked or flirting with the lower parts of polls when we play. Agree that we have to win the games. 8-3 gets us in. 7-4 is in he discussion. I think the part that is easy to overlook is UND won't have a buy until the last week of the season. Will that play a factor as the season goes along?
-
Don't forget a 7-4 team with a FBS win.
-
Winning matters right now but positions in the polls right now is equally important. I am not 100% convinced the polls will take care of themselves.

This program is competing for recognition nationally and locally. Letting a 30 point lead get cut in half doesn't show as well as a 30 point blowout win heading into homecoming. I have no problem playing the starters a little longer to keep a nice margin of victory.
-
But if you want to be considered one of the best in the conference, 30 point wins vs. teams like Sac. St are the expectation. You cringe when the starters are out there but I also understand it.

Like seeing Mercer getting involved.
-
And a step slower than his usual burst. Still good to see him getting reps. Get him his 100 yes than let him rest. SUU will be a test next week.
-
Good first half. Left some points on the field. Punt return team, or punt returner is struggling.
-
Will UND have the big sky freshman of the year two years in a row. Wanzek will have to be in the conversation if he keeps improving.
-
Lost audio as well
-
He struggles so much away from home Should be 10-rip

I'd love to see a game of total domination. Cal poly like from last season.
-
We should be favored in a lot of games but the team has to prove they are mature enough to handle the pressure IF they keep winning. Also we are not deep enough to handle any more injuries at some positions. Plus you can look back at games 1-4 to see a pretty anemic offense. We still need to prove last week was expectation on offense and not a fluke. Thank you for the compliment though and we would love to see C-P again in December.
-
Great interview that shows an outstanding personality of that young man. Glad he came to UND to finish his college career.
-
Not if the DL makes plays. There were times the Cal Poly oline was too quick to try and get second level and the d line made plays. Watch the tape and some of Tank and Greely's plays were made with them being untouched and in standard fronts.
-
Studs and his young WR's will have to win games for us here on out. They won't have to throw for 300+ but need to make enough plays so we don't see the defenses we saw vs Mont. St. I agree with others that the last wrinkle to add to the offense is a play action, TE seam route. Maybe we don't see it until SUU.
-
I am hoping Taubs can shake his inconsistency of kicking outdoors this week. I'm with you though and think he misses a couple.
-
I'd love to see a blowout, not 100% confident it will happen. UND- 27 Sac. St- 17
