  1. It's NDSU fans and UofM fans mostly Take it for what it's worth
  2. More than one team from each conference is allowed in.
  3. Hard to argue with this. Outsatanding to see Bubba stand up for his team.
  4. Way better. If they would have the team wait and do the video of them exiting the locker room like Nebraska it would make it legit.
  5. I don't know anyone over looking SUU. Both teams know what is in the line today. Depth at safety will hurt us today. I'm predicting a couple blown coverages. We still prevail
  6. Agreed. I think it will be a very close game. SUU will be a boarder line playoff team at years end. This would be a good win for us.
  7. Montana threw for over 400 yards. Two games worth for us.
  8. I would also argue that he would have a tough time finding more than a few on here who don't agree with cutting sports. The argument is which sport should be cut. If our FU fan would like I was on the cut program bandwagon when FCOA was announced. If UND is hiding as much as he claims it will be made public. The media in Grand Forks actually challenges the university and spends more time above the desk on campus than under it like the Fargo media.
  9. There was but we had to pay your buddy for services rendered.
  10. It would be hard to convince me FCOA hasn't impacted recruiting for the positive. That said, it's only been offered for 1 year of signing periods. I would say this year we have an opportunity to win a few conference championships which would be a good first step. (FB, VB, MBB, WBB)
  11. I assume this will be handled as in the past and if an athlete chooses not to transfer they would retain their scholarship. Seems fair. I also imagine coaches would be paid out their agreed upon contracts.
  12. They will form a committee of athletic coaches to decide which college programs get cut?
  13. Again, UND does not belong at the same level as Minot and Mary. It's hard to argue UND is not at the level it needs to be. Just can't support 20+ sports.
  14. Yeah, it should have been brutally honest. A school the size of UND cannot financially support more varsity programs than schools in the P5 conferences with athletic budgets many times larger than UNDs. They also don't belong in the same division as Minot St., Mary and Northern St. It should not have been hard to see to be completely honest. It should have been identified a lot earlier than now.
  15. I appreciate the insight. At the end of the day, it is all a blurry grey area. I for one had no idea that UND was threatened to be taken to court when UND women's hockey was started. I about fell off my chair when reading UNDBiz's post. I appreciate you posting that screen shot. With that, I can understand some of the hesitation to face that again but in this case, I truly feel UND internally is being its own worst enemy. If you want to get out from behind this thing throw this stuff out there. Don't waste time having coaches addition to keep their sports. Try and explain what you are doing as positively as possible as trying to remain compliant vs. how other similar schools are doing it. At the end of the day, UND cannot manage 20 sports. I had a Facebook friend absolutely beside himself on how UND could be cutting sports. When I told him UND sponsors more varsity sports than the University of Texas he didn't believe me. Some of these facts are what needs to be out there. The days of a D2 bus league are gone.
  16. Scheduling the other Dakota schools has not been easy.
  17. Also, if UND wanted to prove a point and raise awareness to what they are doing is correct and other schools is wrong, laying out the explanation for tiers should have been done at the first meeting and again at the second meeting and possibly released a press release for the public. Than you go from being a cluster to full transparency to the general public.
  18. And this is where Title IX is flawed. I would love to see what UND could do adding $400,000 to each the WBB and WVB budgets. If my math is right, adding to those two sports, UND could feed 6 more athletes prime rib. We could afford to add to women's track and field and soccer scholorships. All this while getting rid of women's hockey. I believe what you are saying in theory but when you look around college athletics and what schools are spending on coaches salaries, special trips and locker rooms for football and/or MBB (depending on the school), I have a hard time believing the NCAA could ever enforce this at an institution.
  19. This game will be a great game. SUU has played a very good schedule and lost to some very good football teams. Assuming we win at years end SUU could be 7-4 with losses to Montana, UND, University of Utah and BYU. That is not a bad resume. Some quality losses there. SUU is in the same spot as UND in trying to gain recognition as a Big Sky contender very year. They have been successful proving it for a little longer than us and have a talented roster. This game will set my expectations for this team going forward. I won't pick against UND but expect a close game and am really looking forward to Saturday UND- 28 SUU- 27
  20. I respect Schlossman and Miller for being critical of UND and its leadership. You will not find that at any other media outlet in any other ND city/university. In other cities the media are fed the stories to write and question nothing. However, I disagree with Brad last night. He is tweeting about the meeting and how inappropriate it was. Everyone in the meeting room knows the sport that should be cut and if that sport was cut Brad would be more critical about someone making that decision on facts me numbers alone.
  21. I believe UND could still outbid SDSU (assuming we make the playoffs). Their last home playoff game had 4,000 fans. The last few years they have gone on the road for the playoffs.
  22. Agree to disagree. If I am playing a team like SDSU, Montana or another MVFC or Big Sky team, I would want to play them in the Alerus. We have seen what the playoff atmosphere in there can be.
  23. And travel for round 2. I would like to be at home as long as possible in the playoffs.
  24. Decent thinking but top 8 teams also get homefield. I would sacrifice an additional week off to host the first playoff game in a while.
  25. I think there is a chance Weber is ranked or flirting with the lower parts of polls when we play. Agree that we have to win the games. 8-3 gets us in. 7-4 is in he discussion. I think the part that is easy to overlook is UND won't have a buy until the last week of the season. Will that play a factor as the season goes along?
