It appears they will bring in a pretty balanced attack. I watched the end of the SUU game last night and they have some pretty good athletes in the slot. Defensively they are middle of the pack. I'm guessing they watch the ISU film and put 8 in the box to make us beat them throwing the ball. Absoluteky need a clean game next week. Getting Reyes and possibly Taj back wouldn't hurt either. Offensively, the backs need to take what's there and not put our OL and TEs in bad positions by trying to bounce everything. Watch Gordon on tape and do that.

ISU really, really stacked the box yesterday and we struggled. Whether it was penalties or getting no gains or negative plays running to the sidelines we were our own worst enemy yesterday. Glad Reyes got some rest time but he needs to stay healthy down the stretch. These remaining three weeks of the season could be the ugliest wins ever but I'd take them. The boys are one of the only teams (maybe the only) that has to grind out 11 straight weeks and they looked tired yesterday. We questioned our depth before the season started and it is being tested. Have to gut it out and not be our own worst enemy on game days.

Runs really well for a big kid

We look tired. Is not having a bye to this point of the season taking a toll or were we overlooking ISU? not sure how overlooking them is possible after last year.
-
Everyone looks lost this week. Did what we couldn't afford to do and let them hang around in the first half. Best wake up at halftime boys.
-
John has had some holes but runs laterally to the sideline every carry. Get up field.
-
Boys better wake up. Ugly so far.

Some teams still have nearly a half a season to play. UND is a rare situation not having a bye yet but still having a month of games left. Thats a lot of football.

I don't mind that shirt. Much better than the "blackout" shirt a few years back.

One cannot help but really like Idaho St.'s coach Mike Kramer. The guy tells it like he sees it. Pretty good listen. http://740thefan.com/podcasts/jack-michaels-show/962/idaho-state-head-football-coach-mike-kramer/

I'm thinking the administration is thinking that if Olympic sports move to the Summit , with regional opponents along with Denver, they will be able to justify raising ticket prices and attendance will increase. Travel costs would also decrease with bus trips to Fargo, Brookings and Vermillion. Not sure if teams would bus to Omaha but that's likely. we are already doing a home and home with Fargo, try to schedule something with Vermillion and stay in the Big Sky. Drop a couple programs to make up the difference.

I don't believe said committee can even speculate on what they are looking for. See last year as an example.

It really bothers me that the students will be asked to raise fees again. I don't know how they will vote and the decision is there's but really feel that members of the IOC and Kennedy need to make a good case for me to change my mind on that.

I also think there is a lot to be said of UND doing this without a buy week. Most teams are really banged up this time of year and UND is no exception yet they are improving every week and different players are stepping up when called upon. There are teams out there that have had two buy weeks and that makes a huge difference when preparing for an OOC schedule. I imagine in a few weeks we will hear those same fans complain about not having a week off as injuries begin to mount.
-
No. It was said last year that UND is not fully funded for all sports.

I understand you have a child currently enrolled so I apologize with how this is going to come across but it really shouldn't have taken two months to see that some sports had to be cut. I still question how we are going to deal with future costs that are going to rise regardless of how many sports we offer. We may be good today but Kennedy needs to have some vision and look ahead to 2021 and beyond. I thought the question he was asking was what does he want this athletic dept. to look like in 5, 10, 25 years.

I'm hoping Kennedy knows something the rest of us don't. Funding 20 sports is not sustainable for an athletic dept the size of UND's.

I believe it is the team with the highest Sarigan ranking so it would likely be EWU. Personally don't think it matters as EWU will slip up once vs. either Cal Poly or Montana. UND just needs to continue to take care of business.

Three of the four are not even selling out now at current prices.

What is the committees plan for costs that will continue to rise? These would include retaining successful coaches, travel costs (regardless of conference), facility improvements/maintenance and increased scholarship costs. We can't continue to "find money" just to sustain what we have in 2016. They need to look ahead to what we want to have/be in 2020. That is the president and ADs challenge and i hope they are looking at this.

Does your blood boil because of the content of the letter or because it was likely submitted as a joke by someone Kat Phische is likely a relative of Gold Fish and a distant relative Sucker Fish. Unreal this was even printed.

Find money instead of cut costs. How about we do both. If anyone on the IOC reads this board, from a fans perspective the last thing you can do right now is raise ticket prices.

This is ridiculous. Who cares, they are college kids. Let them have fun.
-
Honestly, I really hope Kennedy has a plan. All the dog and pony show from last week caused was the committee wanting to save everything that we can't afford.

Not sure how good ISU's WRs are this year but they tore us up last season. We couldn't get to the QB and they turned short receptions into huge gains. Looking forward to a week of quotes for their head coach Kramer. Guy is full of one liners and brutal honesty.
