Congrats ladies.

This is a good football team coming to the Alerus on Saturday that is peaking at the end of the season. Having to deal with losing their starting QB (who was freshman of the year last season) put them in a bit of a funk. They are playing well, must win to have even any sort of shot at the playoffs and would love nothing more than to ruin our opportunity at a conference title. Dangerous combination. Our guys have to grind it out for one more week and than they can finally enjoy the much needed bye before turning attention to the post season. The last few weeks have been gritty, not always pretty and I expect the same on Saturday. It will take our best effort of the season. No reason to doubt this team now.

I agree with you that he isn't but due to that man's (fan wearing shirt) stupidity, but it wasn't long ago that UND was called racist for non students wearing this and everyone seemed to think UND should be held responsible. I'm not going to dig through your past posts but I believe you have mentioned YSU and Missiouri St leaving the MVFC multiple times in the last year. They would be back filled with Mankato, Grand Valley or another DII

Minimum of one guaranteed home game with a bye. That game would likely be against a MVFC team or Montana/Poly. I'll take that any day over a little rust. The last few weeks I'm also watching a team that is dealing with injuries every play it seems. Give them an extra weeks rest, as long as we don't have any Seibel incidents with the additional time off. Only concern for me would be conditioning.

That's not 100% accurate. The thing I hate about the Summit is that all Dakota schools would/could bolt in a second and moving up is likely the goal (regardless how realistic it is). The Big Sky is pretty stable and we are leaving just as we are finding success and gaining tons of momentum in all sports. Naturally with success the "rivalries" would follow.

Football is the one that strikes me as odd. Western Illinois dropping football would be ideal for the MVFC as it would allow all schools to play each other. They do not currently. Something could be going on Reading posts on other boards from Bison fans they like to say the MVFC/Summit are bailing out UND. In actuality could it be the other way around and the MVFC is in need of another team and it is mutually beneficial or the MVFC has a need for UND? I can't see the eastern schools suddenly being on board to adding another Dakota school.

We have no one at WR with his talents. Tough to just "next man up" that spot. No one on the team is making excuses though and they have won 7 straight.

UNC has ran the ball well this year in most of their games. Portland St. gave up 250 yards rushing to UNC last week. I don't think they will have the same success this week and will have to beat us through the air. Secondary gets another pick six this week. Offensively, please don't run the ball with Bartles.
