I'd guess it's down to Pittsburgh, Minnesota and NJ. If he goes to Pittsburgh then no, no Suter-fecta. I think the only way he goes to Minnesota is if they do get the Suter-fecta, and sign both Parise and Suter.

Does anyone else have issues when trying to view videos on NHL.com? I've never been able to and I'm wondering if it's a setting somewhere. When I try to view this, the video just keeps spinning, like it's trying to load.

Staying by the MoA and using the light rail is a great option. But for those thinking of doing this so you can plan accordingly, I recently did this and took the light rail up to Target Field for a Twins game and it was about a 45 minute ride, not 15 minutes.

Are you really this dense? Is that all that happened to Chay Genoway was that his paint on his cage got chipped? After all, he was wearing a full cage, right? I must have missed the article in the Herald when it explained that he missed virtually a year of hockey due to chipped paint.

Looks like that goal shouldn't have counted... AHL: Goal shouldn't have counted

This gets my vote for dumbest comment/quote of the thread. And if you ask me to explain why, then you're even dumber than I thought, DaveK. The only time an elbow can do damage is when a player's face is left unprotected? Amazing...

The finals begins tonight, and I think this one's going to be a GREAT final. After picking the first 3 rounds I ended up going 9-5 (not good)! What the heck - here's my Finals prediction: As much as I'd love to see Parise and Zajac win it in NJ, it's just too tough for me to pick against LA right now. I certainly wouldn't be surprised to see NJ win it, but with the way Jonathan Quick is playing and how LA has rolled through their opponents so far this postseason, I think LA will win the Cup this year in an awesome series. I'll take LA in 6 - they'll hoist the Cup on home ice.

With last night's win, Matt Greene and his LA Kings are a game away from the Cup Finals. Amazingly, they are this year's #8 seed in the West and have gone 11-1 in the playoffs while playing the #1, #2 and #3 seeds.

You're right - you did also say Hextall. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=muDmRn4Kvys

Wow, what a great article. He seems very well-spoken. This line was good, too: "...and the toughest to play of all of them all at the time, 5’7″ Hobey Baker-winner Ryan Duncan (AHL)."

Yup - and LA just keeps on rolling. My take on the gong show last night: - The Shane Doan hit should not have been a 5 and a game. The LA player turned at the last minute, and at some point the league is going to have to put some of the onus on the players that receive the hit to not put themselves in a suspect position at the last minute. I could have seen a 2 minute penalty for boarding. Doan should not see further punishment from that hit. That being said, I also can't blame the refs for calling what they did. With the attention being put on these hits from behind, they're going to err on the side of giving a 5 and a game. - The Hanzal hit on Brown from behind was bad - Hanzal will get a suspension from that. How long? Who knows. I don't believe he's a 'repeat offender', so maybe 1 game. - Mike Smith chopping at Brown's legs - how the heck did Brown get 2 for 'embellishement'? Smith looked like he was chopping down Redwoods! This is the same goalie who got bumped behind the net by Shaw from the Blackhawks in the 1st round and looked like someone shot him with a shotgun, but once Shaw was given the gate for that game he was OK to finish the game. I'd love to get DaveK's take on this, because I thought Tim Thomas was the only goalie in the league that did things like this!

Conference Finals predictions: LAK over PHO NJD over NYR I'm hoping for an 8 seed vs 6 seed Stanley Cup Finals.
-
I wouldn't count on that. It may be a different former ex-Sioux taking over in UNO after Blais instead of Hastings.
-
I've heard the same. Maybe someone who has a history coaching the Lincoln Stars, Fargo Force, and St. Cloud State...

This is pretty consistent with my 1st round picks. I take STL to beat LA, and not only does LA win, but they sweep them...unreal!

This was interesting to me: If the full shields mandate is eliminated, McLaughlin said there is a belief that everyone must go to three-quarter visors instead. If it's optional to still use full shields, then it defeats the purpose of reining in reckless behavior. So it sounds like even if they wanted to use a full shield, they wouldn't be able to. That might be a tough sell.

John Buccigross had Paul Kelly, former executive director of College Hockey Inc., on his radio show/podcast - whatever it's called. About 5:45 in they touch on kids de-committing and heading north of the border. Buccigross specifically calls out the NTDP. What I got out of Kelly's reply was a lot of "blah, blah, blah" - kind of sounded like the teacher in Charlie Brown cartoons. Hockey Today 12:00 in they also talk about players being able to wear half-shields.

First of all, I must have missed the memo when Pronger was inducted into the Hall of Fame. Secondly, maybe I should have used a bunch of "!!!!!" and smiley faces. Relax man, I wasn't being serious. Well, at least not 100% serious!!!!
-
Same with "Pronger" and "upside" when trying to give someone a compliment.
-
Since it's round 2 and I did so crappy in round 1, why not give it a shot?! WEST NASH over PHO STL over LAK EAST NYR over WASH NJD over PHI
-
The OT in tonight's NJ/FLA game has been very entertaining. About the BOS/WASH series clinching goal - I'm not complaining, the series is over and it is what it is...but this is interesting... FRASER: SHOULD GOALTENDER INTERFERENCE HAVE BEEN CALLED?
-
That's despicable and makes me sick. I'm not sure if anything can be done to them for this, but if so, I hope they get the max. On SportsCenter they said something about someone overseas doing something similar to a soccer player and they got 56 days in jail.
-
You're not serious, are you? He could be a top goalie in the NHL for years to come.
-
Well, I wouldn't help him pack. I'm not THAT anxious to see him go!
-
As much as I love the guy for bringing the Cup to Boston last year, I must say I think I may be in favor of this. Le'ts face it, he's still a good goalie but he's getting older and at his age (38) he's not going to get any better. It's all downhill from here. Plus, Goon, I must agree with the others - not going to the White House was not the right move. I don't care what his political views are - and he probably could have made a bigger statement by going, but hockey is the #1 team game and what he did was put himself above the team. Even in his Facebook postings or whatever he did all he talked about was MY choice and an INDIVIDUAL choice. Whatever - it was the wrong choice and in my opinion that caused some issues with this team. If they can get something for him during the offseason or at the draft - adios. Turn the team over to Rask who will be a #1 goalie for years to come.
