Looks like the NHL GM's are going to need to be saved from themselves. Flyers sign Shea Weber to sheet They're in CBA negotiations right now, and owners want to drastically reduce the % that the players get, then their GM's are offering these kinds of contracts.

They can wear either a half shield or a full cage in the USHL. Do we know any more where they're at with this possible change? What's the chances it goes through this year?

I read that too, but I just don't see how they could do that. I'm all for half shields, but if a kid wanted to wear a full facemask how could you tell him that he couldn't?

They reported this yesterday and then his agent came out and said that he was staying in the Toronto area and not flying back to Minnesota. So unless you've heard something new today about him flying back to Minnesota, I don't think this is accurate.
