Not a lot of long winning streaks in the league or among the top teams in the country this year. St. Cloud had 1 string of 4 or more, a 5 game string that included 2 against Huntsville. Minnesota had a 6 game string that included 2 games against Anchorage and started against Air Force. BC won 9 in a row, back in October and November. Denver had 2 4 game streaks and a 5 game, but not all against top competition. Miami had a 4 game and a 5 game streak, 2 games were against Fairbanks in each streak. I don't think that anyone has proven they are the obvious favorite. Whomever gets hot will win the National Championship. UND has about the same chance as anyone this year. And all of the top teams have shown flaws. The big question mark is whether Quinnipiac is the real deal or not.

Pairwise is just an estimation of the actual selection process. They aren't the same thing. Just saying.

I state a simple fact and some of you get very sensitive. But you have no problem attacking young college student-athletes, or plenty of people that post on this board because they disagree with you. There is a simple way to ignore me and anyone else you want. Click on your name at the top of the page. A box will open up. Click on Manage Ignore Prefs. At the bottom of that page is a box titled add a new user to my list. Start typing in my user name or the user name of anyone else you want to ignore. Usually a name or list of names will pop up after a few letters. Click on the name, and on the boxes for whatever you want to ignore. Hope that was simple enough for you. If not, don't read the board and you won't have to read my posts. That's an even simpler solution for you.

Just stating a fact. I didn't also point out that it was covered in other threads also. Didn't know you were so sensitive.

AZSioux covered that in the first post on this thread.

Giving up any points to either DU or Minnesota would be unacceptable to some. Some would complain about the coach and the team even if they went undefeated while winning the National title.
-
Typical "fan" reaction, thinking that they know more about hockey than the coaches that have lost 4 out of their last 20 games. You may not have noticed, but some very successful coaches never settle on lines, and can continually change them through every game they coach. Having set lines is not a guarantee of success in any way. Changing lines is not a guarantee of failure.

Every team in the league has left points on the table. It happens to pretty much every team, every year. It happens in the pros and it happens in college. It's part of sports. One of the goals should be to limit the number of times it happens to your team, but it is almost impossible to eliminate completely.

I'm pretty sure that the list would belong to the WCHA. The X just services it for them as a part of running the tournament.

NORTH DAKOTA vs. BEMIDJI STATE - Saturday SENIOR NIGHT

I heard that the NCAA was going to hold a press conference tomorrow to announce that no teams were worthy of playing in their tournament this year. -

Why would they be pissed if that's the way it has always been done? The title has been shared on multiple occasions. -
UND won 8 regional tournaments, and 3 first round games at the National Elite 8 in Division II. It is hard to compare, but I don't know if just getting to the conference title game in DI would be bigger. Winning and going to the Big Dance would probably be the biggest win.

Usually the concern about flooding comes from the snowpack south of Fargo and along the Sheyenne River valley more than snowpack right around town. There is decent snowpack to the south, but not near a couple of years ago.

Not the only one, but you do it more than anyone else. If people are interested they can go there and read it themselves.

Not necessarily. The campaign goal was $300 million. A lot of projects were eligible to be included under the Spirit Campaign banner. But that doesn't mean that the individual projects were completely funded.
-
They would have to add the requisite expenses associated with those scholarships. But they don't have to add another sport. Right now UND has more women's sports than men's. They don't have to add sport for sport. They have to support equivalent opportunities. And those opportunities are supposed to fit with the interests of the male and female students. If they have a women's sport that they don't currently support very well financially, they could increase funding for that sport to meet the requirements if they added men's hockey. Here is a simple rundown on the guidelines.
-
Technically I don't think they would have to add a women's hockey team. They need to add an equal amount of opportunity. That opportunity is supposed to appeal to the female student population of the school. So they could add more scholarships to existing sports or add a less expensive sport that appeals to their female students. It will add cost, but may not be as expensive as adding women's hockey.
-
It means that UND is advertising to find a replacement for Kotelnicki. The new hire will coach either defensive line or linebackers. Those are the qualifications that UND is looking for in a new coach.
-
Faison isn't going anywhere. The tweet said huge weekend for UND Athletics, and the $300 million goal was for the entire school, so that isn't it. Official announcement of the IPF is a good possibility.

what do u think of the Red River KKK white out story
82SiouxGuy replied to Fetch's topic in Community
All schools have a code of conduct. The students broke that code. It was a school sanctioned event. It is not a First Amendment issue. The school being funded by the public does not make it a First Amendment issue. The school will handle the issue. I also hope that their parents do something about it. -

It was a school sanctioned event, so the school has the right and the responsibility to punish and to teach the students a lesson. This isn't a First Amendment issue. It would be a different story if these were adults that weren't associated with the school. -
FINAL Final 5 seat locations and Q's about next year
82SiouxGuy replied to 01grad's topic in Men's Hockey
The discussion was about serving alcohol in suites and club lounges only versus selling to everyone. But it was only in TCF, it did not apply to any other arena. There was never any discussion about limiting alcohol sales in the X. Originally the state legislature decided to ban alcohol completely at TCF Bank Stadium because some people complained. As someone else mentioned, they changed the law to allow alcohol in TCF in some areas. The law never was meant to apply to other venues, only TCF. -
Watch you play Xbox? I don't think so.

I believe that he was referring to JohnnyBoy from NDSU. He is a student from NDSU that is originally from Jamestown (he has mentioned it in his posts). I'm pretty sure that choyt meant that JohnnyBoy was annoying and compared gfhockey to him, not to you.

I think that multiple people had a problem with that comment, and many of your comments. That includes me. But we have seen that nothing will stop you from making them so it isn't doesn't pay to call you on the less objectionable comments.
