  1. Thousands of tickets given away - YOU know that for a fact? There were some general admin ticket deals (end zone seating)during the year but the SDSU game was packed with people being turned away. The game was great with a large SDSU contingent. Don't let your jealousy make you say stupid things. With your declining fb attendance I think it's funny that you poo poo our attendance. From the BISON Media Blog "FWIW, a home game generally nets 80-100K. Northeastern game netted 90K, after an 80K guarantee. SDSU netted 200K, as it was a sellout with no guarantee."
  2. You bet! Chance to play new (good) teams from all over the country. The ability to play full DI teams ie: MN, Ball State, Iowa State and not be penalized for it by some mickey mouse dii rules committee. What's not to like?
  3. No - the only sport we played UND in was baseball in 2004/5 and I think (I don't know) they were told not to schedule UND anymore because UND wouldn't play us in any other sports. Most DI teams have some room for playing DII teams in most sports. I'm sure you'll find out all about the pain of scheduling as an independent in 2009, your first year in DI.
  4. What about all the other SPORTS then? I think the reason most Bison fans don't what to play UND anytime soon is the dribble found in some of these posts. These same posters were the ones predicting failure in which NDSU would come back begging to the NCC. They are also the ones that didn't want to play NDSU when we made our move. We made our move to DI successfully (in most peoples opinions) without UND (by their choice) and now UND can find their way without NDSU. There is very little financial gain to NDSU by playing UND. Good luck on your move.
  5. Then email your AD, tell him to get off his knees and stop begging Gene for games!
  6. Only in Dave's world!
  7. I don't know about the funding, but SUU played alot of schools very tough last year and have many of those players are back. Careful what you wish for.
  8. I think poor old dave was looking in the mirror when he wrote this!
  9. You will have no conference for 2008 but it will depend on how good of scheduling you do for 2008. Something you will find out (scheduling) is not easy as an independent and sometimes requires paying teams alot of money for a home game.
  10. This won't help. http://www.in-forum.com/Sports/articles/156697 2008 will be a lean year.
  11. It's always fun to see what's happening the Sioux world. (as seen through Sioux glasses) By the way that 700 would be 650 more than your womens hockey team. Have they won a game yet?
  12. That's about all that UND doctors are good for.
  13. Now there're saying that the alerus is counting wrong.
  14. Like Hugo's giving away free tickets?
  15. I don't think you want to go there. (you're wrong on both counts) Both schools have had some problems, but for the most part it's been pretty good.
  16. 1. I think for a long time. Seems to me that I've heard that major for student athletes for sometime. 2. In DI-AA (FCS) you can only have so many players on your team. Not like DII when you could have over 100. I don't remember what the limit is.

  18. There are lots of DI schools besides MN & WIS. The only thing that sucks is they are the two closest.
  19. This thread needs to die.
  20. Ask the Dean of Pharmacy at NDSU where it should be.
  21. I don't why you would - it doesn't say how many categories or places there were to start with. It's not a classic "mine's bigger" it's just a fact the nationally NDSU competes very well with any engineering school in the nation.
  22. Here are just a few of the engineering awards that NDSU has won over the last year. I believe they have done well in the solar car race and winning it a few years ago. CIVIL ENG. North Dakota State University civil engineering students placed first last weekend at the Midwest Regional Steel Bridge Competition for the fourth year in a row. The seven-student team competed against eight other universities. The overall goal of the competition is to have a light, stiff and easy to assemble bridge. The rules change each year to give students a new test. NDSU
  23. You sure are worried about the Bison. Keep comparing scores because that's all you're going to be able to do for the next several years.
  24. I see your still jealous about the Bison/Gopher fb game. Why don't you come to the next one Oct. 21st and join the fun.
  25. Aren't we being a little paranoid star?
