I seem to remember when Potts kicked UND out of Fargo the up roar on this board about it and the great Mr. Potts. This is all about money and what each university wants.

We have most of our schedules filled for the next couple of years with some great teams. We also have some games with DII teams, these are mostly teams that scheduled us during the transition period. If you make the move, the spin will be amazing. Let the fun begin.

What's on everyone's mind is will we get straight reporting on UND now? My guess is that nothing will change. I would like to see a name change "The UND Herald" - Might as well start out honest.

If not jealousy then what? You're running approx (-700,000.00) for a mixed DI and dii budget this year and have no conference invite in hand, so what's driving the move?

Our win over Wisconsin last year was on every sports persons lips all over the USA for weeks. It's what's basically driving your move to DI this year. It's called jealousy.

If I was a sioux fan either pro DI or not I'd still like a in-depth report on the financial condition of the athletic department. How it's setup with the REA, what the costs are, etc ,etc. Does anyone really know the actual setup and cost? Doesn't sound like it. The one thing NDSU doesn't have hunging around it's neck unlike UND has, is the womens hockey team. That's a real financial drain that's not really factored in and it's year in and year out.

He makes it look like he's running the whole show on the DI move and Kupchella has little say in it. We'll see.

I guess I was wrong is isn't arrogance it's your ignorance thats funny - like no UND athletes EVER failed academically? Failure in this area is the players fault, as most programs give the student athletes all the resources they need to be sucessful.

gf already had to pay back funds that were not properly used. How about the new fb turf that was due for replacement in 98 that was 90% funded by fema. The list could go on and on but at this point who cares.

I think this indicates that the UND administration isn't really serious about DI.
