I agree good for you schools need good fans that support programs, but look at the history of your track program why would you think things would improve?

Your track teams have been poor for ever so why would you expect anything different.

Just to get things straight - UNC, SDSU, USD, NDSU all wanted the NCC to move up. UNC when first and SDSU and NDSU stayed another year to try and get UND and UNO to move too. When they didn't we and SDSU made the move and USD stayed.

As short as we were on OLB I doubt he was expendable. He's had a bad hip for a couple of years.

They're also using it to cover the cost of bring in a DII team also. I don't know why he would say it was revenue neutral if it wasn't. I'm sure he rather say yeah man we're making big money by this move. Poor scheduling on his part.

Really apologize to the team or coach? - If it bugged coach or Faison, Faison should have said something behind closed doors and that would have been it. Now it's a big deal. Thin skin by someone that's for sure.

Get rid of him now as it will just cost more down the road. Easy to see he doesn't fit into the ND culture and will never get along with the legislature or presidents.

Really? All of our sports are going great except VB and WBB which are down this year and our coaches are better paid. You guys probably have the lowest paid coaches in the BSC. All your sports are mediocre to poor (& that's on the high side) yet you guys just accept it, why? Faison is all about hockey. Now if our other sports were as poor as yours you might have a case.

I have no idea what the SMU contract is but I've said from day one that it's all about the playoffs and now it's being reported that Ash made the call. If it was all about money then the AD would be controlling things.

The kicker is a loss to SMU won't hurt as much. A loss to a FCS team hurts in the standings and their position for the playoffs. I wouldn't expect you to understand how the playoffs work but man get up to speed. Go to the griz board they know what they are talking about. Has to do with playoffs, oh the money is nice too but the net is hardly worth the embrassment.

Nothing to do with business - all about the playoffs and positioning themselves for home playoff games.

Exactly right - MSU figures they'd rather get their loss from SMU than NDSU. BSC has a habit of being chicken sh*t (UM has several buyouts). One can only hope the stars a-line and we get them in the Dome in Dec.

Here is what I know. Happy to be in the MVC and Summit where bus trips are the norm and fans can actually go to away games. Happy to have big wins over B1G and MAC fb teams and bb wins over #8 Marquette and Wisconson. Happy to have a fb following second to none in the FCS & sold out home games FB have back to back NC - with a good chance for three. Happy to have all are other sports successful with sb going to the sweet 16, bb making the dance, soccer making the NCAA tournment, 8 all americans in track, VB making the NCAA tournment several times.

When the BSA gets redone we'll have some of the best facilities for FCS schools. 4 outside fb practice fields 2 grass and 2 all weather field turf (full fields), new indoor track facility- great outdoor track, First class baseball stadium, good soccer field, and VB plays in a great venue. Best of all they're all controlled by NDSU. Only fb game days are not totally controlled by NDSU. Maybe you should look at the new plans for the BSA and rethink your lipstick statement. The Betty 3000 seat venue is great for bb games? Hell you averaged more in DII. What happens when you get a really good team and 4000 to 6000 fans want to see it? Maybe it would be better not sponsor so many sports and try to be good at a few.

Darell you remind me of freshman high school kid that has a bad case of acne and no personality. He wants to hang with the cool kids so he says stupid things to try and impress them. Really sad. The BSA and your Indoor PF are funded by private donations and not the athletic depts.

This doesn't make any sense, if Sparks is this great back why didn't he play last year (or so little playing time)?

I think he's in the top 5. His base is 196,000 but the last few years he's made over 350,000.00

Big difference as NDSU had a below average qb that was the cause of most of our losses & those were by 7 poinbts or less. UND was destroyed by the top teams in the BSC. Little offense & no defense against MSU and EWU. Hard to turn that around in one year. I also think you're forgetting that other teams recruit too. Both MSU and EWU will be tough again.

All the Dakota's were lobbying to get UND into the Summit baseball league. I don't know if it was UND officials or Summit officials that weren't receptive. Hugh travel cost for your baseball team in the WAC.
