Please do some research first and check out the actual winners before responding. You will quickly uncover that you have to go all the way back to 2000 to find a MN Mr Hockey who has panned out as a regular NHL player. Once they leave highschool most of them never live up to the hype.

Plenty of praise for UND from the TSN staff regarding both first round picks and a special feature that highlighted how the Minnesota Mr Hockey selections haven't exactly panned out over the past few years. One comment "Fischer is a bust" Therefore, they see risk in selecting Bugstain in the first round.

That would also be believeable and good news if true.

This is a guess on my part, based on the thread posts suggesting a talented and fast forward who is the son of a former NHLer. Matt Needham of the Penticton Vees program is currently one of the top prospects in Western Canada. I don't go along with the Samuelsson guess, as like his old man he can't skate.

Again you are reading too much into Cherry's rant. The talk was about coaching and the word GM didn't come up once.

As I have stated before I don't usuallly respond to your posts because you normally regurgetate what has been stated elsewhere. However, It is very sad but not unexpected that you posted a misrepresentation of what Don Cherry had to say about Gretzky and Tippett. Cherry correctly pointed out that Tippett has a more mature and different lineup than what Gretzky had available, and he didn't like hockey fans concluding that the Coyotes current record suggests that Gretzky was a bad coach. There was nothing more to it.
