  1. I am sure he finds the game a lot more fun and easier without a Pioneer or Maverick riding on his back for 60 minutes.
  2. I'll be rooting for the team with all those 25 year old Canadians.
  3. Always nice to hear from a know-it-all with 16 posts. First of all start by reading Brad's Blog to get a brief rundown on some of the team's injuries. There are most certainly two other significant ones he isn't mentioning regarding two players who were in yesterday's lineup. Then take a look at the teams making the FF. At least two of them had last weekend off and were well rested and healed. Stick to the sports you know that involve playing with little balls.
  4. Watch for the Bozak announcement tomorrow. The Hockey Night in Canada Hot Stove League mentioned that there is currently a bidding war between several teams trying to land him.
  5. Rowney with the second goal in Grand Prairies 3-2 win over Brooks yesterday so they win their series 4-1 and move on to the AJHL final against Spruce Grove.
  6. I can't believe some of you post here and call yourself true Fighting Sioux fans. This team has had to play playoff hockey since early January and pulled off a minor miracle in coming back to win the league. They paid a heavy price though in that they could no longer field a healthy enough team to go any further this season. The coaches can't reveal all of the injuries and their nature but when you have a kid who was a few days ago walking around your campus in walking cast out there playing today how can you be critical of what transpired. Now that the season is over ask any player you know about some of the injuries they were playing with this weekend then please be man enough to come back to this site and apologize to the team publicly for some your comments.
  7. The faceoff losses finally came back to bite them. The Seniors need to take control of this game back and win this in OT.
  8. Thanks, whatever you just did was great because that is the clearest feed thus far this afternoon.
  9. So I take it that the schools in Maryland and Virginia can't afford ice and skates.
  10. Another example of how the NCAA does a pi$$ poor job of marketing hockey. If they found a way to make these playoff hockey games available to Canadians they would double their viewers.
  11. Looks like Gwoz didn't do a good job of preparing them for a game on the big ice surface.
  12. I wonder if Berenson envisioned ending his coaching career on such a low note. Based on some of his recent comments it looks good on him.
  13. So does this mean that from now on you will automatically pick the Avs to win all of their games in your NHL hockey pools.
  14. You forgot to add that Wilson has been hiding a serious hand injury for most of the season and I suspect it is just as bad as the one that Oshie played with last year. I sat right behind the US bench for one of the WJC games and the trainers were constantly working on it. It is clear that it is also affecting his shot.
  15. If the team can leave it all on the ice for 240 minutes over the next three weeks they have as good a chance as anyone. I don't think anyone in this tournament has more NCAA playoff experience than the UND lineup and that has to count for something. Against UNH hit Rip VanWinkle early and often and he will disappear. Based on what I saw of him at the WJC he is skilled but he is also soft and if he had been born in MN he would have been your prototypical Gohper. As he goes so goes UNH. BU's Wilson worries me more and the D will have to be aware of his location at all times. He is one of the few game changers in NCAA hockey this year and he likely would have won the Hobey outright were it not for a hand injury that is very similar to the one that Oshie had to play through last season. I suspect it will take BE's best game of the season to beat them and in a one game showdown we know they can be beat as demonstrated by lowly Maine last weekend. GO SIOUX!
  16. Injuries happen when you have to play playoff hockey for three months straight, no excuse it's a fact and Hakstol implied as much with his post game comments this weekend. Conversely if you don't show up to play for 3 months straight I guess you can look forward to a happy and healthy early golf season.
  17. I think the injury bug has caught up to the Sioux and in case you forgot that includes Gregoire who took a thunderous hit a couple of weeks back. We know what they are capable of but will they be able to field a healthy enough team to be effective next weekend.
  18. As amazing as the Sioux second half of the season was again this year, theirs was an even greater catastrophic failure, dropping from the very top of the heap to the bottom of the dung pile in under three months. Coaches get credit where it is due and I don't know where else you could pin a failure of this magnitude. I wonder if we will see a coaching change at UMTC.
  19. I still don't know whay so many idiots picked McBain over this guy for the league MVP. He is giving the Dogz the type of goaltending that wins championships.
  20. That wasn't a high school band? There must be at least 1,000 fans at the game.
  21. So where is this McBain kid that so many weenies (supposedly hockey experts) selected as the league MVP.
  22. Don't give him time to play the puck and get on him when he does.
  23. No that was in the regional at Colorado Springs against the Sioux and after the poor guy had been shelled like never before by Parise and Bochenski. Unforutunately I had a birds eye view of the whole mess.
  24. Aids Poorchild takes a penalty. PP Dogs.
