  1. Second Period is over, still 1-1 and the shots are 21-12 for USA
  2. Dustin Brown scores on the PP to make it 1-1.
  3. The first period did not go well as Norway is up 1-0. USA carried the play but Hilbert should be benched as he took three of the five minor penalties. Shots were 12-6 in favor of the US.
  4. Sometimes the scouts do make mistakes. My son played against Wheeler several years back and was shocked to see the hype and selection he got. And low and behold he really is just a big pylon.
  5. One Move Wonder, is that really you?
  6. I am looking forward to watching Drew play on TSN next week. It sounds like his goal against Slovenia was a typical Stafford blaster and it will be good to see how he does against other traditional hockey powers. I also see that the one move wonder's move worked against the Slovenian D.
  7. Someone had asked several months back what impact Toews and Tessier had on the Colorado Outlaws season. Their season turned around dramatically and in this article their goaltender, whose dad is a personal friend of mine, suggested turnaround was due to a coaching change. http://thescoutingnews.com/content/view/492/2/
  8. The story is already on TSN today too. Best of luck Drew. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=164738&hubname=
  9. And I would imagine that the green leafy material and paraphanelia seized by the police was merely their spinach and Popeye collectible pipe.
  10. A good read on Commodore. http://www.tsn.ca/nhl/news_story/?ID=164541&hubname=nhl
  11. Hmmm, last time I checked the Habs were still up on the Highstick Canes and weren't struggling against the worst team to make the playoffs.
  12. Tough to argue with those comparisons. TJ is the hardest working player in the NCAA while JT has the most natural talent/potential so it will be fun to watch them compete for the Hobey.
  13. What would you expect the owner of a CHL team to say if he sees his league starting to lose talent, exposure and hype to another.
  14. In some ways he is alot like Finley. Not the greatest skater on the ice but when you are that size each stride gets you down the ice quicker than someone who has to take two. I asked others in the stands if he was going to go Major Junior next year and no one seemed to think so. The much smaller Nepean players could not get to the front of the Hawkesbury net when he was on the ice. He just turned 19 so he is already a seasoned junior player. Here is the Hawks roster if you wanted to check it out: http://www.hawkesburyhawks.com/hawks.html As an aside their Captain (Picard) has committed to Ohio State and the Dman who was the playoff MVP (Hudson) has committed to Canisius.
  15. I got to watch my hometown Hawkesbury Hawks win the CJHL playoff last night. They look even stronger than last year when they went to the national championship (Final Four) and there is no interconference play so I wouldn't put too much weight on these rankings. The Hawks big 6'7" Dman Gravel is still available as far as I know and looked like Chara on the Special teams with his long reach.
  16. Hmmmm, seems to be a common theme with alot of kids that the Don has coached.
  17. What do you mean "try to" ?
  18. I often wonder what makes someone spend so much time lurking on another teams board, is it envy or are some condsidering switching allegiances.
  19. When is the media conference so the one move wonder can announce his displeasure. In reality he could slip to number 6 on draft day as he is most certainly not the type of player that would thrive in Beantown.
  20. Lee, we now all appreciate how special it is when someone dedicates a full four years to the program. We definitely need more players like you who are willing to come into the lineup when and where required and give 100%. All the best in your future endeavors.
  21. Injured players don't normally attend the Combine as it would be a waste of time and money.
  22. I watched Souray (big man) get burned by Briere (half-pint) in last nights Montreal/Buffalo game and I doubt Souray will get benched anytime soon.
  23. Weren't you part of the the old "glass is half empty" crowd last season as well? Trust Hak, despite the departures the Sioux are doing a solid reload and will still have an outstanding group of Sophomores.
  24. For that matter even UMN and UMD will be better than Bucky next season.
  25. Oh well, we all hoped differently but this is not unexpected.
