Send Tony an email or PM, I'm sure he will take care of it.

Darell I have to admit the parody account is kind of funny. Whoever started it definitely got the response they wanted since you started this thread.
-
Darell I'm not sure if you are the person that should be talking about obsessions, especially Bisonville.
-
When he gave his verbal I think there was a good chance he could have seen early playing time. Nobody knew how Dupree was going to progress and then Paul Miller has a huge year. Coaches can't predict the future.
-
I don't think he was dumped, I think he just found a better situation to see playing time sooner and play in his home metro area. He should play right away at CSP, he wasn't going to get that opportunity at NDSU, This is the only player I can remember in a long time that didn't end up coming after signing his NLI. So it isn't like we dump players, from my understanding it was mutual.
-
He looked promising early but he didn't progress as hoped. Better chance for him to play at Concordia St Paul, especially early. Paul Miller looks to be the big steal.
-
Not sure, that number is tied to advertising sales.
-
A few people complained? So what? Some people watched the meaninglessness practice and NDSU is happy. That is what KVLY cares about. Like I said NDSU football is big ratings, it is the biggest media prize in the state. If NDSU wants a few basketball games and the spring game televised you do it.
-
Because NBC ND knows a good relationship with NDSU is much more lucrative than some meaningless playoff game that involves two teams nobody in ND cares about. Hate to break it to you. The ratings NDSU football delivers in the fall are absolute gold for NBC ND.
-
I'm not even sure if this excludes football. The power conferences have an agreement with the other conferences that gives them access to bowls and college football playoff revenue for the next 12 years.
-
The top 5 conference will never allow that. They own FBS football, they control it and can do whatever they want. The NCAA doesn't care and the bottom five conferences don't care as long as they can still be in the same room and share one seat at the table. Grow the playoff to 20 teams and at best maybe you get one or two teams in that isn't from a top 5 conference. That is the reality of FBS football and that reality isn't ever going to change. This isn't like NCAA basketball where the little guys drive up tournament TV ratings. Nobody really cares about the little guy when it comes to football.

I was a bit surprised by the salary. I thought it would be closer to $130k but she is leaving behind a solid job and our program is in the dumps so maybe an aggressive salary is what had to happen in order to get the right fit.
-
Well two Big Sky assistants just left their jobs to work in beautiful Vermilion. Maybe you have this backwards.
-
Klieman makes more in base than what Bohl made but Bohl did get a cut of ticket sales. I think you are right that Bohl made a bit more with that factored in. I think there is a good chance that Tim would have hired Dave, it sounds like he played a key role in Dave getting the job.
-
Gene didn't want to go backwards in pay, he did the same thing with Klieman. I think it is a solid vote of confidence in a new hire to basically give him the same salary as his predecessor. I also don't think Gene wants to pay his basketball coach a bottom half salary in the Summit. Even at $190k Richman is the 4th highest paid in the league. USD kind of raised the bar when they paid Smith $185k.
-
I actually think Bubba will do well. Jones though, I don't see it.
-
A lot like why Wyoming could afford to pay Bohl a small fortune. Ohio's athletic subsidy(The sum of students fees, direct and indirect institutional support and state money) is over $20 million.
-
USA Today said he made $188k this year but I believe that number includes his media deal. Apparently his max bonus was $55k.
-
Just under $190k. He was going to get a raise but it wasn't going to be anywhere near $550k.
-
It will definitely be a new world for Saul....Ohio State, Cincy, Xavier, Dayton and Akron all have great or good programs. Lots of competition in that state.
-
heard that after Woodside, Winkelman and Nelson left. The team has talent. Dupree has a lot of potential and I've heard great things about AJ Jacobson. Still have a senior point guard and great defender in Kory Brown. Probably not an NCAA tournament team but much better than what was left when the Woodside core of players graduated.
-
Saul to Ohio.

There aren't a lot of jobs open this year, especially not a lot of lower level BCS or high level mid-major jobs. I've only seen about three or four jobs that make sense and one of those was filled(WSU). Wouldn't shock me if he is still at NDSU next year.
-
Umm....his name has been tossed around by media people in those areas. Heck Andy Katz tossed his name out for the Washington State job...might want to do some research. Saul is a hot candidate. I will say though he had no chance for the Marquette job, that was obvious. He has a lot more going for him then Bohl had, since he doesn't have to deal with the FCS stigma and some issues from the past.

You can always use Kenpom if you don't like RPI.
