  1. RPI is worthless until January. Our women's team is terrible. Dehoff is our Muss.
  2. You don't necessarily need a DI guy, you need a guy that knows the region and has proven himself as either a coach or coordinator. If you want a proven successful head coach that guy will likely be coming from the non-DI ranks. With that said Caruso has a pretty good job at St Thomas. It is a Bohl like position where he has all the resources needed to dominate at that level. UND would need to come in with a serous offer.
  3. If I was UND Glenn Caruso would be at the top of my list.
  4. I think some Bison fans highlight all the wrong differences when talking about the Big Sky vs Summit/MVFC. Most do get travel right but from a strength stand point and where the conferences fit in the DI landscape it is basically the same. The MVFC and Big Sky are obviously both elite FCS leagues and for other sports the Big Sky and Summit are mostly one bid leagues. Travel is a real difference, it helps having a few bus trips. Especially in regards to non-revenue sports. Recruiting is another advantage of the Summit/MVFC, there is no denying the conference's footprint is where the bulk of our student athletes come from. The Summit does have a stability issue, obviously.
  5. Too bad the WAC is dead. That was the FBS conference of entry for western FCS schools. Now there is no such conference unless the MWC gets raided.
  6. NDSU's ticket sales in 2012 where $2.915 million...lets at least work with recent data.
  7. In a world where teammakers and priority seating/tailgating doesn't exist...you might have a point.
  8. The paragraph before that makes me think he was talking about the athletic departments of FCS schools. I doubt he would even know enough to comment on individual programs.
  9. I believe he was talking about entire athletic budgets...not individual programs. There are very few college athletic departments that can support themselves without subsidies.
  10. NDSU football isn't profitable....I beg to differ.
  11. Didn't see this posted....I saw that your game with Butler will be on Fox Sports 1... http://msn.foxsports.com/collegebasketball/story/complete-2013-college-basketball-on-FOX-TV-schedule-FOX-Sports-1-FSN-090513
  12. How Price's prior suspension was handled was interesting, he sat one game and then played vs Montana in their home opener and then sat again. Not sure what he did. Now he did this... http://www2.wataugad...rrest-id-012330 You can't really compare a situation at one school to another, they are all very different.
  13. You might want to look into Price's history at App State and just what exactly he did recently to receive this suspension.
  14. Jose Mohler was our QB...we barely could complete a forward pass in some games....things didn't really turn around offensively until Jensen was put in at QB.
  15. Central Michigan was average in 2007 and they were slaughtered by the Bison. The Gophers were average in 2006 when the Bison lost on a blocked field goal.
  16. I'll say hockey is slightly more difficult because of the neutral locations for postseason, in the FCS you can have home field and it is a big advantage. As for importance, they are very similar.
  17. For UND hockey at least he is using an actual number...do you see any TM seating available with a $50 donation?
  18. You might want to rerun those TM numbers.....it isn't even in the ballpark of accurate. http://gobison.com/documents/2013/5/23/FBSeasonTickets2013.pdf?tab=footballseating
  19. I'm not sure how the financial side works. The real incentive for partnering with the Gazelle Group happens in 2014-2015 when three teams will be coming to Fargo as part of an early season tournament.
  20. The Delaware home game and Bryant road game are also part of the deal with the Gazelle Group.
  21. KSU made it to the NIT that year, so they were solid but not great. It was a lot of fun sitting behind KSU's bench though. It is definitely an interesting schedule so far.... @Ohio State @Notre Dame @UND @Bryant @Western Michigan vs Delaware vs Towson vs Southern Miss It sounds like we'll have two more high majors on the road.
  22. I'm not really sure it is really all that different than the Big Sky.
  23. Athletic scholarships come from pretty much entirely the booster club.
  24. Using your view I'm guessing a lot of taxpayers have wasted taxpayer money. I have bigger things to worry about then some drunken college kids getting into a scuffle when it comes to how taxpayer money is allocated.
  25. Are you Rob Port? He is a college student that made a mistake while drunk. it has happened before and it will happen again and again and again and again. Not sure why people continue to want to make this into some huge ordeal.
