I went through there yesterday as well and thought the wash was better than Rydell which I have gotten a monthly pass for a few years. Tidal Waves rates are maybe a bit more expensive than Rydell and only allow one per day. I do think they may have some issues though as it isn't the easiest to get in and out of!

I agree and I've said this quite a few times in other threads, Hain has been tried multiple times in a top-6/scoring role and it just never has materialized. I just think he is a player best suited to be able to score some goals on more of a shutdown/grinder type line and there is nothing wrong with that. Every team needs guys like that!

I would agree that trying Blake with him is worth a shot although I thought Blake and Mcloughlin had pretty good chemistry on Saturday night. Honestly I think a lot of it comes down to Gaber. Like many have said on here already, it is obvious he is trying to do too much on his own and just needs to play his game and let the game come to him rather than trying to force it. It seems inevitable that if he keeps playing the way he is he is going to give up a breakaway when he is trying to stickhandle going back towards the blueline.

Holy Cross @ UND - Friday SEASON OPENING Gameday!
I Ranger replied to stoneySIOUX's topic in Men's Hockey
It will be interesting to see if there are any changes tonight. I would suspect if so it is because they were basically pre-planned before the weekend to mix in some guys as Berry has a history of if winning the lineup remains the same unless injuries. -
I have heard he is leaning towards Michigan but hopefully we have a legitimate shot!
-
Could be because the brother Bast that came before him was injured the majority of his first 3 years at UND.

As far as the Hain on a scoring line comment, just an FYI pretty much every year they have tried Hain in a top-6 scoring role at the beginning of the year and he has never stuck there for very long. I'm wondering if that was just because so many guys were out Saturday or if they are giving him another kick at the can in Year 5? For me, I'd prefer just rolling the Senden-Jammer-Hain line.

And I said it back then and will say it again. There were two main reasons Hawks won. The first being I firmly believe is that "Fighting" in front of Hawks turned many people to Hawks. Would just "Hawks" have won vs. say "Fighting Nodaks"? I don't believe so. "Fighting" swung the vote. And the second being the fact that there were many different logo renditions circulating with feathers and different half-ass cool looking options which many believed would become our new logo. Instead we get the least creative name with that absolutely brutal postal service logo!

I like to see that one. Hopefully with 10-15 lbs more on his frame! Also nice to see James name on there. -
Wasn't there rumors of him de-committing from CC and committing to UND last year sometime?

One thing I really like with our forward group is I see completely different players that should be PP guys vs. PK guys. I like being able to roll out Senden-Jammer and Hain-Caufield for PK and then have that top 6 to mix and match for the PP. Yes Caufield will probably get the net front look on the PP but I really like being able to have different guys for each role. Should allow everyone to have more energy late in games if special teams plays a large part in the game not to mention it's nice not having to have your skill guys jumping in front of pucks blocking shots all game long on the PK. -
McMorrow to Denver

Maybe we can steal one from the top dog recruiters since someone stated he was down to only BU and Minny earlier.

Wow! After reading that I don't know how in the hell he managed to have quite possibly the most amazing run of recruiting maybe ever. If I was committed there, I would be running for the gates!
-
And UMASS it is. Makar keeping his commitment sure has turned that program around.

I do know that Nelson was here for a visit in January or February. Sure would be nice to win a recruiting battle for a Cities kid!

Not to beat a dead horse as I've mentioned this a few times before on here, but from everything I've heard Rizzo's decommit caught the coaches off guard. They were not expecting it. I've heard multiple things on the Morrow situation so not really sure the exact story but it kind of relates to not fitting into our culture. -

Yes Brent and Jake Schmaltz need to go on the Nick Schmaltz Freshman-to-Sophomore training and nutrition plan! Put on a solid 10-20 lbs! -

At Berry's press conference today, he said both Kleven and Gaber verbally committed to him that they will be coming back but he said he will wait for them to disclose their decisions officially. -

100% agree. Splitting them up to move Portz with Senden-Jammer was a head scratcher to me. At times they were our most consistent line. -

From everything I've been told, Rizzo de-committing was totally unexpected. It caught the coaches off-guard. -

I wouldn't mind seeing one of each especially with our injury history! It seems to me we should maybe abandon the typical 15F-8D roster approach and maybe carry an extra forward and D since we seem to have serious injury issues every F'n year! -

This part right here makes me question the Morrow decision even more so. I get there were apparently "red flags" but wouldn't you think with a coach and team that preaches "culture" that you could bring in a kid with huge talent and groom him into the culture rather than be scared away from him? All this being said, I haven't heard one thing bad about him with UMASS and the World Junior team which again makes me question the decision. -

I think this team needs to shop in the portal for both a goalie and a d man. My big hope is that Jake Schmaltz (and Brent Johnson) goes on the Nick Schmaltz freshman to sophomore diet and comes back 15-20 lbs heavier. His skill is there he just needs the strength to make a big jump like Nick obviously had after year 1.
