  1. I wouldn't say first but he's usually pretty accurate.
  2. I see Heisenberg's site doesn't have Evers committed anymore. Anyone know anything about that?
  3. And even though he started the year in the NHL, I would imagine he might be wishing he did stay.
  4. Yes it happened quite a while ago. He was in for an MRI in October so he played through it for quite a while and it got more and more noticeable each week. I thought he really struggled with it in Duluth.
  5. I'm sure it was a difficult decision for him as obviously he had his heart set on playing in the WJC. But us as Sioux fans in hindsight wish he would have had the surgery three weeks ago and would be ready to go for the second half of the season. Let's hope he's a fast healer and is back sooner rather than later.
  6. On the recruiting front, any names out there that are currently our main targets? I haven't heard of any names recently.
  7. Are there "Fighting Hawks" chants/cheers at football/basketball or volleyball games? I've only been to hockey games so I really don't know and am curious if or what chants are started at other sporting events.
  8. Big deal he runs into people. Let me know when his physical presence creates anything other than a penalty on himself.
  9. I get that Wilkie hasn't produced yet but I just don't get why most just want to jump to put Olson back in who has done absolutely nothing for a year longer and is a junior. I'm sorry but he can't skate at this level. There's no doubt Wilkie is fighting the puck and the game is a little quick for him but his upside is much higher than Olson.
  10. I know somebody posted a while back the cheapest way to purchase nchctv for someone who attends all home games. Can anyone point me in the right direction as to where to find that post? I'm assuming I just need to purchase tonights single game and not the monthly pass?
  11. The defense doesn't look the greatest "on paper" for future years but how many people thought some 5'9 kid from BC named Stecher was anything special when he committed? I think the forward crop for next year looks pretty good though.
  12. I get it Wilkie has struggled for a guy who came in to be a scorer but why the pass for Olson? He's done zero for two years and his skating holds him back a ton. He's the guy I sit for Yon.
  13. Totally agree and it's very obvious almost to the point where I'm starting to feel like he doesn't trust his teammates. The play where he got the puck before the blue line in our end and Wolanin was busting down the middle for a breakaway and he had ten strides to hit him and he didn't pass. If that's #9 busting last year he doesn't miss making that pass.
  14. I'm not sure I can take another game in which we make so many mistakes that we give up 5 although scoring 6 would be a nice change!
  15. I sure hope that is the case because we have layed two pretty big eggs the last two Fridays.
  16. @THNRyanKennedy: 2017 prospect Cameron Crotty (D) has committed to Boston U. Yeah I'm gonna stick with my earlier statement that BU and Quinn are killing it on the recruiting trail. Anyone who says no is kidding themselves.
  17. He just switched Boeser and Pogo. They weren't playing together.
  18. I agree it's only one game but I've seen Olson for much more than that and I just don't think he brings much. Just my opinion.
  19. I would say those two statements contradict each other quite a bit!
  20. He was in for his visit this weekend. A friend sat next to him and his father and he said they have already visited the Boston schools. Said on his visit they went to a Red Sox-Yankees game at Fenway. Maybe a reason BU and Quinn are killing it on the recruiting trail.
  21. I like what I saw from Smith and think he would fit great with Pogo and Gardner. That would be one tough line to play against. Like everyone agrees, leave JJ and Hoff together with Wilkie and have Simo center the 4th line with Bowen and Yon. I would imagine Olson would still be in the lineup somewhere but I'm just not big on him. His skating holds him back.
  22. Do we know if Bowers has visited here even? From the sounds of it, he is an eastern kid and plans on heading east to play which is why the Bostons are the favorites.
  23. I believe it was originally signed as a 5-year deal with an opt-out after 3 but don't quote me on that. We are now entering year 4 so obviously no opt-out and like I mentioned in an earlier post I believe I have heard that Fenton is in the process of negotiating a new deal with TC.
  24. Yes it is getting much more difficult for me finding people to attend each year as well and I'm getting close to not going myself. There should be an email chain sent to the NCHC and Fenton stating the desire to move the tourney to the X.
  25. I understand the NCHC wanted to differentiate itself from the WCHA and Big Ten by having the conference tourney at the Target Center and it sounds like Fenton is negotiating a new contract with the TC to continue to have the tourney there. I'm sorry but it worked for the time it needed to but if the X is available (which it is) the NCHC would be crazy not to jump all over it. As I've said before, St. Paul is a hockey town and Minneapolis is not. The Target Center can do all the renovations it wants but it will never be half the arena the X is. Not to mention the quality of the playing surface makes the games difficult to watch. The costs for tickets and hotels would most certainly go up but sign me up for that. I have to think that moving to the X would generate larger crowds as well. NCHC make it happen!
