Unrelated to hockey but a member of this site and a friend of mine for 35 years passed away early this morning following complications from his hip surgery. Just thought I'd let you know that he loved hockey, he loved being an alum of the University of North Dakota, and loved talking with all you about hockey. Again Larry Poolman, a.k.a Poncho died at 76 in his hospital bed in Ann Arbor around 3 a.m. That's all just thought this was the best spot to post it.

Love the games actually gonna be in GF tomorrow night watch Marto rack up some points against pidly West Fargo. Can't wait to watch the greatest high school rivalry in the state go down later this year hopefully a couple of times. On a different note I've seen some bad west teams get the #1 seed in my days but Minot is definitely worthy. Could be the second time a western team has ever won state. By the way anybody heard anything about any JV teams around the state, I watched south demoralize Red River's B club and a buddy of mine said West Fargo beat them which just floored me. Looking the riders rosters they dont seem that young at Varsity. Is there good run of championship appearances slowing down?

The man won't allow that to happen. When did the sioux last play a ccha school in hockey. It just doesn't happen. Instead we go out east and we play to CHA schools. I love the rivalry developing in football with you boys down there in the plains and would like to see it extend to the domed pond. I just find it hard to see happening.

This state is progressively falling further and further back in the race for recruits. I believe we arent giving our youth players enough exposure and attention to. I think we need to cut off this junior b.s. Our high school and junior gold clubs are losing far too many players to hellholes like Dubuque, Lincoln, or the losers down in F-M. How did hockey get big and Minnesota and not ND. I'll tell you how attention, hard work, and no basketball. Lets get some HS and youth related topics on here and build our love up. Lets not rush to judgment, i've gotten plenty of dui's in my day. He was arrested on being under the suspicion of driving under the influence. Thats an easy one to get out of.
