I think with 14 members they would have gone to divisions. I'm not sure what the divisions would have looked like, but I believe MSU and UND would have been in the same division.

According to the piece in the Herald this morning, the 2012 schedule is done and one more game is allowed for 2013, with open dates on 9-21 and 11-23. I agree with Irish, though, from what I see for UND's future schedules, not playing NDSU isn't that big of a deal.

Although he may not be a likely UND athletics financial supporter, I would look at Peter Nygard for potential donations to the UND foundation. Mr. Nygard is a self-made millionaire. Looking to get away for a while..... Nygard Cay.

Oddly, that is not the one that was selected as part of the long term plan according to JLG. I say oddly, as I'm sure it faaaar less expensive. I guess if we are dreaming, we dreaming big.

I think most of this talk comes from the other Dakota schools. Most Sioux fans are ecstatic about joining the Big Sky. The football program needs to right itself. The past couple of years have gone in the wrong direction. My hope is that this year there will be something to build on for entry into the Big Sky in 2012. As far as facilities, I have heard that new turf is being installed in the Alerus this year and just like EWU, the turf will match the team colors.

It's hard to turn away talent regardless of position. Watching the video it is evident that Austin can create his own shot and hit 3s. With the lack of quality big guys out there, it appears the Sioux tact is loading up on shooters and try winning games with the long ball rather than the inside game. Welcome to the Fighting Sioux, Mr. Austin.
