  1. I agree, NDSU had a fine season. Who Cares??? Move on! Go Sioux.
  2. UND is way ahead of the curve compared to FSU. FSU launches history class on Seminoles after NCAA dispute
  3. I think LeftyZL did a good job of explaining the SOS, but I wanted to throw in my two cents. Nano, if you go to the Massey website that you referenced click on the column for schedule you will see that NDSU had the 19th toughest schedule in Division I-AA, with an overall SOS at 137. The Sicatoka was correct in his assessment that even though NDSU, SDSU and UNC have left the NCC, UND had nearly as tough SOS at 148. In fact, if you look through the SOS, you will see NCC teams at 139, 144, 146, 148, 149 and 155. NDSU has had tougher schedules than this year. I didn't see where either The Sicatoka or LeftyZL were trying to diminish NDSU's performance. It was strictly talk about the schedule strength.
  4. 8:55 to play, Sioux down by 3.
  5. More awards for Sioux athletes today. Sioux sweep NCC honors Wollenhaupt named National Swimmer of the Week
  6. Men are down by 1 at halftime. Sioux had an early lead, Northern took over with strong defense and Sioux came back at the end of the half to cut the 5 point lead down to 1.
  7. I wonder if Josie would also apologize to all of the Irish if Notre Dame was scheduled in Hanover? Since FSU is no longer on the list, would Dartmouth be able to schedule them or Central Michigan without causing pain? I truly wonder if this twit knows what pain really is.
  8. This hasn't been brought up in a couple of weeks, but when is Buning going to pull the plug on Rivard? UND started out the year with 2 wins at RPI, since then the ladies have lost 10 straight, six of which have been shut-outs. Women's Hockey Schedule Is the end near for her??
  9. Way to go Ryan! Ryan Chappell Nominated
  10. The news just keeps getting better with LM Glasfiber LM likely will employ 720 in '07
  11. Part of his coaching strategy that year was to whine the whole week before the Sugar Bowl that the Seminoles were hitting Wuerffel late, in the regular season game. This planted the seed in everyone's mind including the referees and anything even close got flagged. The Seminoles, as usual, lost one of their key running backs for academic reasons for the bowl game. When Warrick Dunn went down with leg cramps that game was over.
  12. Would that be the 1992 game against Pittsburg State, which had an attendance of 5200?
  13. On the contrary. I think that the Bison had a great year and should be proud. Yes, I'll agree that the 5,073 is embarrassing. When I lived in GF, I never missed a game no matter who the opponent or what the weather was and that was at Memorial. But I also think you are comparing apples and oranges when you are talking about attendance. You are comparing a regular season game to which the students get in free early in the season to a playoff game to which the students would have to pay against a team we had already beaten soundly (49-2). As I said previously in this thread, we may not win a championship this year, but it is apparent that the overall level of competition is sliding. I am off the fence about the move to Division I and am willing to fork over more money to the U to pay for it.
  14. Seminole fan here in Pensacola. Typically, one team is a little bit better than the other on paper, but you can throw that away for the game. Not this year, Gators are going to beat up on the Noles. Actually since Spurrier left, I kind of like the Gators. Just couldn't stand Spurrier.
  15. I think we need to hear more of this. Emphasis added.
  16. Prior to going Division I, NDSU's attendance was starting to dwindle. They weren't winning conference championships, but they were still one of the top conference teams on a yearly basis. Since the change to Division I, both NDSU and to a lesser extent SDSU have seen an increase in football attendance. I think you will see the same for UND. When NDSU made the move, I was on the fence about whether UND should be moving also. The past couple of years have proven that they made the move at the right time for them. I'm not saying that we will win the national championship this year, but the game and competition yesterday proved that we are in the wrong classification. A playoff game should be able to have more than 5000 in attendance and would with better competition.
  17. Beautiful goal.
  18. It was prettier on replay!
  19. Just got on with the video feed. What is with all of the empty seats? Looks similar to how the Alerus must have looked this afternoon. Whoops looks like someone was already asking the same question.
  20. 307 total yards for Sioux, 28-0 and no posts from Warrior 08 in 45 minutes. Wow.
  21. My comment regarding the REA was on the revenue side, since in the last IAC meeting there was a note that they received more money than expected from REA. I don't think that the expense side of REA is part of the overall budget for UND.
  22. The men lost tonight to CSP 76-72 Box Score Koenig only played 8 minutes??
  23. I'm only guesing, but could that be partially REA?
  24. The following is a link to the same story that was in the GF Herald, but if you go to the bottom of the page there are the readers comments regarding the story. Bismarck Tribune Story regarding University of North Dakota Indian Association leader resigns
  25. It seems the reports of UND's budget problems were incorrect. The latest OPE data is now available. Revenues $ 10,427,002 Expenses $ 10,080,241 That is $346, 761 in the black. OPE Data
