jk is talking about the donations you need to make to the FSC in order for the right to buy tickets in the lower bowl or behind the benches, etc. In order to make up for this donation, people may try to sell their tickets for more than face value.

Anybody know when we can get the Christmas tournament and UAA tickets? I find it rather ridiculous that UAA tickets aren't part of the package. I don't really care that many students won't be here, they are season tickets. In fact to me that means you should get all the tickets that "regular" people get. I assumed that wouldn't happen though and we wouldn't get playoff or tournament tickets. But then we don't get UAA tickets? That's stupid. Students could give back the UAA tickets or the Christmas tickets and get a couple bucks off their season tickets. But not to include them is ridiculous. I better get priority on my seat for every one of those games.

There were plenty of people who were in line on Thursday and then went to class on Friday. Being in line has nothing to do with whether or not you make it to your classes. It is whether you want to go to class that matters.

Seriously, if they have this for Fighting Sioux Club people, all of whom are mostly civil and most likely wouldn't kill each other for a seat, it would seem to be a good idea to also have it for the students who would kill each other for a seat.

Have 2 big old boards, one for each section, that has every seat on it. It's that simple. It doesn't have to be fancy or pretty or anything. It could be about a $20 project. That's it.

Well of course it is gonna be a mess, would you expect anything less from UND? It will be partially the students fault though too or at least the lazy moron students fault. This is why I think it would be a good idea to have security or something. I don't know what the solution should be, but then I'm not in charge finding a solution. That's Stromberg's job and as we all know, he's lazy.

Main door? I heard the student door. Who did you talk to that said to was the main door? I also heard that the dispersement will be run, cause obviously no one will walk, to the seat you want and get the ticket off the seat. What a moronic plan. I think a better idea would be to charge an extra dollar to each student ticket. That extra dollar is used to pay for security in the line and they will keep all hell from breaking lose. That's would be about $1500 extra to REA/Athletic Department. Paying 10 security guards $10/hr for 10 hours and they still come out $500 ahead. It may take a long time, but no one will get hurt and it will happen in a nice orderly fashion. Of course that makes sense, so it won't happen. Tickets are $60, same as last year. I forgot to ask if that includes the christmas series or the playoffs, I doubt it though. Seems like they should be included or there should be an option to pay $15 more and have them included.

Ahh, but many of us will be watching the game in person from our nice cushy seats, not from 1500 miles away on a dish.

Well, NDSU is like an annoying little sister who won't quit whining when her big brother doesn't agree with her stupid little ideas, so I don't really see where there is a problem.

I don't care what the records say, UND had back-to-back shutouts in the 2001 playoffs against Pitt State and UC-Davis. They did give up an intentional safety, but I don't really care they are shutouts to me. And those two shutouts are worthy of about 5 normal shutouts, especially the one against UC-Davis. Those were two of the most impressive defensive performances I've ever seen and they came back to back.

Helluva job by the Bison, they deserved to *shudder* win. They played *shudder* great. Will someone please kill me now? Please?

I wish WDAZ/WDAY was showing the game. It would be a good game to watch. Top it off with getting to see the Bison lose and it would be great!

I stay out of trouble too! Sure I can't stop a beach ball, but I still feel that Blais never gave me a fair chance to make the team. Just because Matt Greene scored on every shot he took on me, doesn't mean I don't deserve to be on the team, does it? Siembida and Ranfrantz were "sent down the river" before this incident even occured, so how is that argument relevant? From what we know publicly, Brandt had stayed out of trouble before this incident too.

You kinda seem to be saying sit down and shutup to the students. You seem to be saying that thye have no right to complain because they have it so good. While that may be true, it doesn't change the fact that many students may get the short end of the stick because of the way it looks like tickets will be handed out. Why shouldn't they be able to complain about that? Because they have it so good? They get their tickets so cheap, so they don't have a right to complain? It seems like students for the most part aren't allowed to express their opinions here on this subject. They are always bitching and whining and they should always just be thankful that they are given such a great opportunity to watch UND, is an idea that is very prevelant here. However, if it is someone saying something against the students it is OK. That just seems stupid to me. If you don't like what is being said here, don't read it. You know what is going yo be discussed in this thread, so why waste your time reading it? Sure, maybe some students here are whining, but many aren't. Just let them be and allow them to vent their frustration without jumping all over them constantly. I'm sure their are some things that tick you off. How would you like it if everytime you said things ticked you off, someone seemed to respond with "shut up, you got it so good. You have no reason to complain."

Standing does have something to do with atmosphere, just not alot. Students should still be allowed to stand during certain times during the games. That is part of the agreement that the Athletic Department and the students came to. What a mess this whole thing has been from the very start.

The reason the atmosphere was better last year was because the team was better. Half the students sat last year, with the exception of the final game where everyone stood the whole game because the Athletic Department are idiots. Sitting and standing doesn't have alot to do with atmosphere.

It seems rather silly to me that students aren't allowed to voice their concern over the fact theat they might get screwed out of seats that really they do deserve. Guys like MinnesotaNorthStar deserve the first choice of seats, because they are the guys who really care. WHen he gets stuck at the top of the first level and a bunch of other clowns who couldn't givea rip end up with seats behind the penlaty box, that doesn't seem fair to me. Worse yet, people won't even show up and those seats will go unused. That would stink. So get off his back. Everytime a student says anyhting about seating he is jumped all over and toold to quit whining. He should be allowed to say whatever he wants. And I sure don't want him to get screwed over like some Minnesota fans got screwed over last year.

One exception of course is playing Canisius. The Wookie coming back to Engelstad would be great. If UND was smart they would build up the games around the Wookie and have Canisius make some Wookie mechandise. People would buy it by the boatload and the two schools could split the profit. There could even be a "Meet the Wookie" autograph session after the games.

Sure creaming a crappy team is fun. But if the Sioux beat Maine or a team like them, it is way more satisfying. And if the Sioux cream Maine, it is absolutely great. There isn't much better than that because the arena would be rocking much more than it would be beating Concordia.
