I don't think the students are grouping all season ticket holders together, most season ticket holders are nice and supportive. It is only a select few that have a problem. The current situation is just fine. 99% of the people are dealing with it and are satisified. While both sides could be happier if this or that happened, both sides realize that we are compromising and nobody can get entirely what they want. 1% of the season ticket holders don't understand this though and they pout, whine and complain at every turn. They think they should get everything their way. Their idea of compromise is the students do what we tell them to. I think that the students are the ones who are acting a heck of alot more mature than these select few people. During the first year at the new arena, we would have got into an argument with these people. Now though, we ignore them because we know that there is nothing wrong with what we are doing. I wouldn't mind if ultimately the students moved to the south end, if it meant that they could stand up, taunt the opposition, etc. without being yelled at. What I really want though is for them to stop playing music during warm-ups. GRRR! That annoys me!

Probably the same people who complain about the students standing. It isn't so much that they have a problem with any of the signs. They have a problem with the students having signs.

This guy is the biggest moron in the world. Unfortunately, his website is no longer up. While it was up though, you could date him. The Wookie better watch out, forecheck might dump him for this studmuffin. You can even read an article on him. I have too much free time. Also what about a sign making fun of Tim Conboy. I think he beat up one of his teamates last year or something like that.

When we got our tickets we signed a contract that said that we had to sit, among other things. Yet amazingly no students have been kicked out for standing. That tells you what the problem is. A few grumpy people who need something to complain about. The letter didn't say who it was from and I don't really remember alot of what it said. Something about how great the season has been so far this year, but a reminder that we can't stand. That's about all I really remember because I blew my nose with it and threw it away. One of the Green Hairem guys ate his.

Duluth people were saying that Coole didn't play that well though. That it was SCSU's defense that played well. It sounded like the Huskies gave up alot of shots, but didn't give up many good shots.

This is a good point. The students should keep the seats they have right now, because the only thing that will happen is they'll give up the best seats in the house, for lesser seats and be able to stand. But then in a year or two, they'll be forced to sit in the corner too. May as well keep the seats they have and be able to taunt the players in the penalty box. Security never asked us to sit, the rink attendants did hand out the letter though when we came into the arena on saturday. We seriously do need to make up our own letter.

Looking at those pics, I think Swyg might be right, Brady might be a grump. Bucks and Zach both have big smiles. Brady on the other hand looks like someone just punched his dog.

I don't think REA should get much if any blame for this whole thing. I do think they should tell some of these people to quit their whining though. If these people would spend a little less time complaining and a little more time trying to watch the game, they might realize that they can clearly see 90% of it sitting down. And I don't think it is too much to ask people to stand up 10% of the game. The people to blame I think is the Athletic Department and a very, very few season ticket holders. I would guess that maybe 50 people in sections 107 and 110 have a problem with what the students are doing right now, but they are very vocal in their complaining, so they seem to be much bigger than they actually are. It is people like YaneA who should be filling those seats, because I know for a fact he wouldn't be complaining. He uses his own money and has provided us with signs. The students went from the attitude of "Screw you guys, we'll do whatever we want. Were the students and we should be able to stand up." when the arena opened to "Ok, we'll work with you and try to make it alot better and enjoyable for everyone". It is really frustrating that a few people still aren't happy and they won't be happy until the seats in section 108 and 109 are empty. I think these people would complain no matter who was in those seats. It could be college students, 35 year old soccer moms or the Shaddytree retirement home, they would still find something to complain about. The students are a much easier target though.

While I didn't agree with starting Jordan, it worked. And he probably gained a huge amount of confidence because of last night, so that is a huge plus. I'd still rather have Jake playing I think, but I'll be much more comfortable with Jordan in net now because I think he believes alot more. BTW, all UND goalies do too much wandering. Geohring did, Kollar did, Siembida did, Ranfrantz did, Brandt does, Parise does, Ziggy hasn't played enough but he probably does too. They all think the are Martin Brodeur or something. Stay in the net!!!!

This is just what I was going to recomend. Seriously, we should do it. We obviously can't express all of our true feelings about the select few whiners, but we could make a nice well thought out paper that said how we feel about things. Then again, they probably wouldn't let us hand them out because we would obviously be trying to cause trouble.
