  1. They sell beer at all UND basketball games! And VB too if I remember correctly.
  2. I see that Dom Izzo is going to be helping out Mr. Sweeny with the tv broadcast.
  3. O'donnel gets checked into the boards, dislocates his shoulderand the refs don't call anything. Go figure. That is how this night is being called.
  4. Anthony better still be whining about that cfb like he was last night.
  5. I agree. Most of the NDSUA&AS fanbase should be in the state hospital.
  6. Not too much longer to go.
  7. This is what bugs me. 4 of our home games are BSC games that we do not have to pay to bring in. UCA was going to be the end of a home/home. Portland State was paid for with the C. Arkansas buyout. So the Mines game is the only team we are paying to bring in and I am sure it was for pennies. So with this being the only game we are paying for, there is no reason we shouldn't have the $$$ to pay a guarantee to a FCS counter to come in for 1 game. Does anyone know when this game was actually scheduled? It has been a while since we heard about it.
  8. That is why you shouldn't even bother going to that website.
  9. So if we are talking about school championships, UND's hockey championships can't be included why?
  10. Or instead of emailing Faison people could call up to UND and make a donation to the football team. Thyat would make paying a team to come to GF easier.

  12. I don't see much wrong with Sic's post. It is no secret that it was the fb coaching staff and letter winners that were the big push behind the move to DI. (Where is most of that coaching staff anyways?) Now it is time for the administration, the letter winners and the fans to properly support the program so it can be a championship caliber team. We need to open up our wallets, get the facilities built and create an atmosphere of excitement around UND football. And we all need to play a part in this. We can't just expect that other people will make it happen. The only part I don't really agree with is the loss of the nickname. That would have been an issue even at the DII level.
  13. He looks like a pretty talented player. Too bad it didn't work out. We need to get our QB situation figured out. Hopefully somebody steps up by this fall.
  14. So you are happy with the level of play we are at? Do you feel this team has improved from where they were at the end of last year?
  15. That is what is the most disapointting. The team really came together, grew and finished off last season really strong. After an offseason of practicing & working out, you would expect the team to be at least playing at that same level if not better. They aren't playing anywhere near what they were at the end of last season..
  16. The team just fell apart. Down by 25. It would be nice if the team could get to the point where they could pull off the occassional upset. Or even just win a road game.
  17. Whoever wrote that has no credability and needs to get their facts straight. Apparently Legit has never heard of EWU. And the fact they are claiming fb attendance will go down once UND joins the BSC shows they really don't know much about UND athletics. I still haven't been able to figure out if it is Dave or Lakes who writes that sad blog.
  18. When UNC, NDSU & SDSU were up for membership, the BSC had said they would only expand with a unanimous vote by the presidents. I have not heard any similar comments about the last round of expansion. But I highly doubt they would add 2 full and 2 associate members without having a near unanimous agreement. But this isn't somebody in their administration making these comments. If this shows anything it is that even if we strong-arm the NCAA into letting us keep the nickname, there will always be people trying to use it against us. This circus will not go away until the name does. So for me the question becomes at what point is it better for the university as a whole to put this controversy behind us and move forward. This issue has been the most visible aspect of the university for well over a dozen years. I don't think that is good for the university.
  19. I just like that we are finally seeing some discussion about some of our other sports. If our athletic department is going to be successful at the DI level, we as fans need to support all of our sports.
  20. If this nickname circus drags on any longer, I hope the athletic department announces a move to DIII and that the hockey team will be joining the MCHA with Adrian and Lake Forest. Then we will see what the save-the-name-at-all-cost people say.
  21. Because the schools don't own the buildings. And the Al owns the turf. So why wouldn't they expect to have their name and logo on it? I'm sure if UND ponied up the money to buy the new turf, they could have it look however they want.
  22. Not really sure. I have been too busy doing my last minute Christmas shopping at Best Buy to follow these stories.
  23. Moore 10,285 (+157) Muss 8,756 (+223) At this point we need absolutely every vote we can get. Be sure to be posting this on your facebook & twitter accounts. I'm surprised that the athletic department hasn't been pushing this more. There is nothing about it on www.undsports.com.
  24. This thread is already dumb enough. Why did you have to open this can of worms? Go BearKats.
