Who is disputing that it is a DI FCS championship? Go BearKats!

Wow, some people are naive and need to go back to the hockey forum. I sure hope NDSU loses. But I hope the day that UND makes the FCS championship comes sooner rather than later. And I will consider it a real championship just like our DII championship was a real championship. Go BearKats!

The local and state leaders need to start pushing for funds to build overpasses on some of the major intersections along US 2. Unfortunately, I have a feeling you are right and we will see nothing but stop lights continue to go up.

Keep the votes coming. We are just shy of 8,000. Time to make a big push like we did to get coach into the top 15.

I would like to see UND use something along the lines of this. It is unique to the University of North Dakota and it slightly ties in to the UND flame logo while being unique to the athletic department.

Subtle similarity? That is a bit of a stretch. No matter how much we tell people that we used it first, 99.99% of all people who see it will think Notre Dame. A flagship university needs to have it's own idedtity.

I just absolutely hate the interlocking ND logo. It's not our logo. That is why I suggested putting an outline of the state at midfield.

Notre Dame plays at the Alerus?

It would be neat to see black endzones so they stand out a bit from the rest of the green turf. Maybe put an outline of the state of ND at midfield with small stars showing GF and Bismarck.

My god, I am glad you are NOT our athletic director. If you did this, you would be lucky to see 100 people at the game. As far as the Meltdown at the Ralph, people need to remember that they were forecasting one of the worst winter storms that night the region had seen in years. That kept a huge number of people away that didn't live inside the Grand Forks city limits. I made the trek in from Mayville and remember it was a pretty scary drive that I probably shouldn't have made. The biggest issue with the rest of the sports moving to DI is getting the casual fan to view them as DI and no longer DII. I didn't mind when we were playing NCC games in the Ralph. I thought it was a fun atmosphere. I hope the day comes that the team is successful enough that we can try something similar with hosting some of our Big Sky men's games in the Ralph. Even if we could pull in 6-8,000 for certain BSC games in the REA, it would be a fun DI atmosphere. Or bringing in NDSU every other year, maybe an Iowa State, do a 2-1 with Minnesota or Wisconsin. The Ralph is such an amazing trump card that it would be nice to be able to utilize it as much as possible for other sports. Imagine showing a recruit "Phil Jackson Court at Ralph Engelstad Arena".

There are 2 DII and 2 DIII coaches receiving more votes than coach Mussman. Our fan base should be able to out vote DII and DIII fanbases. ~400 votes behind Ambrose. If everyone on here would take the time to vote and to vote every day, we would easily jump into 2nd.

We really need to kick it up a gear if we are going to win the fan voting for coach. Jim, is there a way you could put up a link at the top of the forum pages so the people who don't frequent the football forum could see it too and as a reminder for people to be voting every day?
