Watching the Sunday night game reminds me of yesterday with the Pats taking the UND role. NO running game, limited pass protection so every play is a 5-7 yard pass and they are winning the 3rd 7-6.

One more-their muffed punt return where it looked like 3 of our guys could have had it.

Our receiver (Belquist) was 10 yards down field before any Bison moved. Immediately I looked for the flags for false start.

After making the catch in the first Q, I don't recall Zavalney being targeted and I'm not sure how many sets he was in. Did he get banged up?

Beer lines were no better. And...they could have doubled the number of porta potties outside and that still wouldn't have been enough.

IMO it wasn't Danny's play calling that cost us but the personnel for whom he was calling the plays. Again, the lack of a WR to stretch the field meant that we are going to have lots of 5-7 yard pass plays. As part of that, the lack of an OLine that can keep a QB on his feet for more than 3 seconds also impacts the play calling. We are still a class away from those types of players but... if this is a great Bison team we at least showed we can play with them.

360 guys said Q did not practice all week. Lavell is dinged. If anything happens to an OL looking at an 18 year old frosh. If anything happens to Schuster, it's Brockstar and/or Feeney.

And IF it's a 20 point game (the wrong way) how do you handle that? "Hey guys. This is the school for you. Never mind what happened today, this is the next great ND Championship team" Who's buying that?

True...but until we beat them they have the edge. What changes can be made to recruiting? We are competing against them for studs. They've won a pile of Natty's; we haven't. It's hard to recruit against that.

Seems like there's also a certain level of risk involved.

Coley's INT and run was the most athletic play I saw all day. Someone suggested we are thin at spots on D. Where? Lots of very good LB's and Corners/Safeties. DLine thin??
