  1. Look up Harry Chiti. Guy got traded for himself. Not kidding.
  2. You mean everyone but me right? Right?
  3. Ohh by garsh.....if it was the hockey program losing to a team in a division below them Hak would have been gone long ago. Its funny how below mediocrity is acceptable in the football program, but hockey is where the line is drawn.
  4. And expect that when UND is a man up they will use a hard ring into the zone and try to win the puck back to the defenseman off the wall. Gosh, if they would just listen to us, think of the success they'd have......
  5. I'm agreeing with pretty much everything thats being said. Two years ago they needed to play goose egg hockey. They had 9 healthy forwards and one line that could score goals. With this group you've got guys like Drake and Rocco that can create such speed with the puck coming out of the zone. This high off the glass and then red line and in just isn't as effective against good defensive teams. If St. Cloud or any team for that matter has five guys in their defensive end you are going to have a difficult time getting the puck to the net, simple as that. I like the fact that when UND gets a chance they give their defensemen every liberty to jump up into a rush to create more of an advantage when they're attacking with speed. We just haven't seen it a lot because you can't attack with speed when its high off the glass just about every time.
  6. This team and Franchise....... ~Patterson fumbles ball out of bounds at 5.... ~Ponder fumbles in end zone. Offensive lineman doesn't grab ball....pushes it towards Cowboy. ~Blair Walsh misses extra point to make it four point game. ~Vikings do nothing with interception at Dallas forty. And can't kick field goal because kicker can't make an extra point. ~Defense goes extremely soft at the end to allow Cowboys to score game winning TD. ~And Ponder does not have a strong enough arm to throw the ball into the end zone. And that sums up the Minnesota Vikings.
  7. My gosh....Ponder can't even get the ball to the end zone......
  8. Yikes......doesn't matter that they're blowing this game right here. I'm hoping Leslie takes a timeout or two here to leave some time on the clock.
  9. There is no way they take Clowney with the QB issues they have. He's the best player there, completely agree. But If its between him and (insert best QB), its gotta be the QB.
  10. Robert Blanton doing his best to give Dallas a free first down...... Only the Vikings.......only the Vikings....
  11. I just have a tough time getting what the concept of UND's power play is. I mean on a powerplay you are trying to make it into a 2-1 situation somewhere along the line. Whether it be down low to create a backdoor tap in or up high to set up an open one timer towards the net then crash, or a player with space moving towards the net with the puck on his stick, etc. IMHO way too much indirect passing on UND's powerplay and cycling. There is plenty of space out there. With five on four, someone has got to be open. If they decide to put the pressure box on someone is open if your spacing is adequate.
  12. I'm glad my dad's pios made the list of UND world beaters!

Now come on....we don't want NDSU fans coming on the board trying to save the guys job.
  14. I thought this group would be more "tape to tape" © Doug Woog. Kind of disturbing that halfway through the second period Saturday it turned into chip and chase and dump and go. It also bothers me that people don't think SCSU is any good. If they aren't very good UND is very very bad.
  15. Some thoughts: ~UND didn't exactly get swept by the little sisters of the poor. SCSU is a pretty good hockey club. So I'm not jumping off any ledges yet. ~I'm upset that they didn't test Faragher at all during this series. Probably one of his easier weekends in a SCSU jersey. ~Stecher was UND's best player this weekend. I don't think I can remember a time when a Freshman defenseman was UND's best player for an entire weekend. ~The one area that was pretty consistent was goaltending. Zane was steady all weekend. ~Hak said post game that the effort was there. A bit concerning because SCSU dominated play for some prolonged stretches. Its November. I didn't have this team winning the NCHC. And I'm sure glad that trophies aren't handed out in November. I think UND has played the top two teams in the league with mixed results. They've put themselves in a hole early, but at the same time there are plenty of league games left to get into the mix. I remember a few years ago UND got swept at home by Michigan Tech in the middle of December. I was ticked, I threw stuff around the house, and vowed that that team wasn't going anywhere.....well, that team proved me wrong. I think this team will prove some doubters wrong eventually too.
  16. He can sit next to Mattson. But I don't think Thompson won't get thrown into the fire against SCSU. Panzarella should be in uniform tomorrow.
  17. So you're telling me all Israel has to do is win a national championship and Syria will leave them alone?
  18. The coaching staff knows much more than I ever will about the game. Three guys who all played at the college level, and some NHL experience in there as well. But I have absolutely no idea what they see in #25. And why you have guys like #17 and #11 sitting in the stands watching. I'll walk away from the edge, and have faith that this team will get better as the months progress, as they have every year.
  19. Alright, took my deep breath.....thoughts: ~Listening to post game interviews they're talking about UND only playing 55 minutes.....boy I'd say it was more like 45 minutes or so. ~Nothing Zane could do on any of the goals. All goals were defensive breakdowns. Thought he was solid. ~I thought SCSU's defense would be a little softer without Jensen, but they seem like they didn't miss a beat without him. Very tough in their own end. ~I'm glad that UND didn't tie the game at the end. Did not deserve any points or chance for points while SCSU was the more inspired team. ~I think we all know who needs to watch in a suite tomorrow evening.
  20. Give credit where credit is due to SCSU. Blocked shots, great puck movement, and just tenacious on the forecheck. Ole just said on the radio that SCSU got more bounces.....uhhh....no Ole....
  21. They can't say Faragher stole that one. He was good but by no means did he steal that one. That was the boys in black wanting it more than the green and white.
  22. Well the right team won that game. You can't care for the last ten minutes after you gave up three goals on breakdowns.
  23. Wonder what the issue with the ice is? Humid day in GF? Rain at all?
