Two years after that season.....

I was going to throw out a comment about Frazee and the bar scene, but Zane's scholarship dollars probably makes that comparison too.

You know....the Zane-Frazee comparison fits......yikes.....

Yeah, the line combos had me a bit confused. You need to put Mitch on a line of guys that are muckers, and aren't going to get up and down the ice. He proved last year he couldn't skate with Kristo and Knight. Here's My take: Rodwell-Pattyn-Mitch Mark-Johnson-Parks Rocco-Drake-Chyzyk Murphy-Gaarder-Sanderson

You've got to think they'd take this worst home crowd of all time into account when looking forward. Its all about dollars in the athletic departments, and I can't imagine that seeing 2,000 people show up in a facility that holds more than five times that sits well. If Mussman is back next year I know a handful of current season ticket holders that will not be renewing. And thats only out of ticket holders that I know. Buy him out. Get some excitement back with some new blood in the program, and fill the seats back up with people who are anxious to see improvement with the football team.

SCSU beats Miami 2-1. Methinks those two teams will be at the top of the league for a while this year.

The third year guys have me scratching my head a bit. They've got to set the ship straight because they're the foundation of this group. Four losses in a row.....

Some thoughts (only from what I heard from TH) ~Zane has to figure out the weak goal thing. He is too good of a goaltender to let it be a consistent thing. Its gotten to the point where I expect one a game. ~I think if you're looking to add some speed to the forward group you think about Thompson playing forward. Too much talent there not to have on the ice. I'd rather see him on a wing than Mitch. ~Talk about spreading the wealth on the lines after the top unit. Guess if they want to play four lines it may have to stay that way. ~Someone needs to step up and be the difference maker Sunday. And I'd better go out and say that a Dean Blais team blew a two goal lead.....but I guess they still won.

Hak post game: ~Played a good second period even with bad goal. ~Good hockey game decided by the players. ~Played hard. ~Just came up short. ~Hak not happy with the officials on the Gaarder penalty. ~Good games from Johnson, Schmaltz.

I'll stick with Drake. Unless he plays with Mitch again. I mean come on Hak, give him a guy that he can work with.

And that'll do it. Omaha wins it 4-2. Interested to hear from Hak after this one. Thought they had some mo going into the third period.

And an Archibald ices the game for UNO.

I've heard Stecher's name about 30 times by TH. Still impressed with his play. Empty net for UND.

Gassed group on an icing means a timeout for UND. About four minutes left.

4X4 with about five minutes to go.

TH just about lost his lunch with that chance Chyzyk just had.

Crap......8 minutes left. Can't take consecutive penalties.

True story: I'm playing outdoor hockey at Agassiz with some dorm buddies. Some UND women's hockey players (Rivard Era) show up and we have ourselves a scrimmage, which of course the women's team had to play with each other. Now I'm a former goalie (not a great skater) and my other dorm buddies didn't have amazing high school careers.....but we just killed them. I mean they didn't have a chance, and these were DI hockey players? Went to one game during the Rivard era and couldn't watch. Sloppy, no discipline, and just no format to the way they played. Idalski has done a helluva job turning things around.

Why are guys named Archibald and Zombo buzzing around our zone?

And they take a penalty.....good call Nostradamous.....
